So beautiful explanation by Swamij! When we stay balanced, content, and devoted to God in every moment, we become very dear to Him. Instead of chasing future happiness, we should focus on the present with gratitude and devotion, which brings true peace and joy. Chasing future happiness often leads to discontentment and anxiety, but by embracing the present moment with gratitude, we experience a deeper joy that is not dependent on external achievements.

Swamiji explained so well the importance of silent solitude emphasized by Shree Krishna to Arjun. Solitude has the tremendous power to recharge us. We can do self evaluation, contemplate on our experiences/goals and manage our thoughts. Another quality of a devotee dear to Shree Krishna is contentment. We need to learn to be content with what God has given us. When we are content, we will find happiness in the present moment. We can easily see God’s grace in our life when we are content.

Solitude has immense power. So solitude on a daily basis is like nourishing balm to the soul. Contemplation is the favourite pastimes of so many saints. In this life there should be tension, relaxation and replenishment (cycle of life ) for functioning of our best. Never have greediness in life. We are chasing for future happiness ,instead find joy in the present moment. We have to focus on the things that will improve the quality of living, which depends on our quality of thoughts. 🙏🙏🙏

Those who are alike to friend and foe, equipoised in honor and dishonor ,cold and heat, joy and sorrow, and free from all unfavorable associations those who take praise and reproach alike, who are given to silent contemplation, content with what come their way, without attachment to the place of residence whose intellect is firmly fixed in me and who are full of devotion to Me, such person are very dear to me. In punjabi there is a saying: Na dekh paraii chopdi, na tarsaii ji..Rukhi sukhi khaye ke thanda paani pi. Don't make your heart miserable by looking at the butter splashed rotis. Whatever you have, even dry rotis ,partake of that and drink a glass of cold water.😊 In nutshell contentment is the key. And joy and happiness are nowhere but now and here❤

In this video lecture, we delve into the profound wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, specifically chapter 12, verse 19, beautifully explained by the insightful Swami Mukundananda Ji. Here, Shree Krishna emphasizes the transformative power of silent contemplation, reminding us of how invaluable moments spent in solitude can recharge our mental energies and uplift the quality of our thoughts. In this verse, we learn about those who maintain equanimity in all circumstances; seeing friends and foes alike, remaining poised in honour and dishonour, and finding balance in joy and sorrow. The qualities described; those who are free from unfavourable associations and who accept themselves with grace; highlight a path to inner peace and devotion. (“Those who are alike to friend and foe; equipoised in honour and dishonour; cold and heat; joy and sorrow; and are free from all unfavourable association; those who take praise and reproach alike; who are given to silent contemplation; content with what comes their way, without attachment to the place of residence; whose interest is firmly fixed on me; and who are full of devotion to me; such people are very dear to me.”) As we embark on this meditation of the heart, we discover how silent contemplation aligns us with our true selves and shapes our destiny in beautiful, unexpected ways. Swamiji’s teachings guide us to understand that embracing this silent introspection nurtures compassion not only towards ourselves but also towards others, creating ripples of kindness in our everyday lives. I invite you to watch the video and immerse yourself in the loving wisdom shared by Swamiji. May his words inspire us to cultivate a deep sense of devotion and peace within, so we may radiate this love into the world around you. Thank you, Swamiji, for your gift of knowledge. May we all strive to become dear to the divine through our practice of silent contemplation and unwavering devotion. My humble pranam at your lotus feet. Radhey Radhey 🙏 🙏
