i mean, this type of striker exists IRL just not as exaggerated, in latin america (or at least in Chile) is called "Lauchero", basically its a Striker who waits close to the defending team's goal for any stray ball to score his goal. I understand your point, but your wording isn't correct in this case. You can't just say bluelock is better than other sports anime just because it's about ego. Blue lock's core ingredients are ego based plays and lots of hype (and obviously less realistic) plays. Still i don't think you can say bluelock is better than haikyuu and kuroko and vice-versa. I think both have different sub-genres that puts them in different categories :)

@@pedrosantos1503 ngl Blue Lock is better as a sports anime as It’s more realistic towards how top class athletes really take sports competitively. it even states the fact japan (other sports anime) believe in teamwork and everyone being a role player. Where as the world and real life it’s about trying to be the best period and not settling for a minor role. Stealing moves from other good players to add to your own but also having your own unique style. Using teammates even to get yourself (and the team essentially) a better opportunity. Give me more sports anime where theyre not only trying to prove their team is better than the next team but each player is trying to prove they are the best on the court/field

He wasn't that far behind Isagi who had to slow down an feint to get away from his defender. It's quite believable for Rin to have gotten to that spot as long as he ran full speed the whole way.

Rin bet on Isagi going for the shot based on Nagi and Isagi’s chemistry, so he probably started getting in position to deal with that from the moment Isagi began to fake out Bachira. Isagi aggressively switched directions 3 times in that fake-out, which would’ve eaten up a couple seconds in total, and since Rin didn’t need to slow down that’s all the time he needed.
