Its Sept 2021 already :). Note that the bits in the video about ~L. and .leex files are now deprecated in Phoenix 1.6 Still works - but there is a new, greatly improved templating engine. .heex and ~H sigils. (plus some annoying syntax changes in template engine, but they are worth the porting effort.) Elixir is awesome, futureproof, functional, robust, easy to use, and very performant ! Only downside is that there is a fair bit of magic up front doing a lot of the work, which makes it hard to master. Its not a bad learning curve though. Phoenix Liveview is the future !

That was extremely helpful. ❤️ The step by step creating and fixing the errors was awesome to understand all the processes. Thank you very much! 🙏🏻

I saw the entire video, damn, Phoenix, Elixir is a must in every companie. The point that I want like to emphazise here is the velocity of the code programming, I work with Java and Webpshere and every time I want to compile the code again with the framework that I used is about 7 minutes, that is a lot of time, maybe is a billion dollar every month in productivity loss

What happens if I delete a message? Is "prepend" still valid as an update policy?

I was wondering if the presenter can share his `.emacs` file?
@geolessel2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay, but sure! It is here: github.com/geolessel/dotfiles/tree/main/emacs/emacs.d and is always changing.

I did my best to stay watching til the end, but the presenter starts with explaining very basic things like a controller with index and render function and assigns which even a total new coming to elixir/phoenix knows what it is, then when he arrives to serious things that really need to be explained he just skip them (telling very little about them) and expecting you to know them already, I find this confusing as a way of teaching and to be honest if he mentioned at the beginning the knowledge required before watching he would save me time, I watched more than 30min which I will never get back :/ disappointed

I’m sorry the presentation didn’t meet your expectations or requirements. If I could refund your 30 minutes, I would. 😆 Out of curiosity, which topics would you like to have seen more in depth discussion of? Perhaps your answer could be the start of a next presentation of mine.
