I still think that they should put the Power Rangers costumes and props in a museum just how the Japanese did for their Super Sentai Costumes. Because even if they manage to auction the costumes and props what would they be useful to someone who brought them?

While that would be cool, I highly doubt a museum of that magnitude would be financially viable enough outside of its opening week to justify the cost of opening and maintaining it.

to me im not surprised. i grew up with samurai and found out about super sentai around the time of super megaforce. growing up and learning about how many times saban, disney, and now hasbro have screwed over power rangers vs how toei treats and cares for super sentai is so wild. mind you this is stuff that they got from super sentai that they are selling while also refusing to give to their actors. that is so disrespectful to both the actors and toei

The problem with hasbro now is the only person who saw potential in the franchise has passed away and the rest of the company doesn’t care about the franchise and it’s been reported through the fandom that employees thst have been assigned the rangers have viewed it like a punishment and the misconception about Disney is they didn’t buy the rangers they actually bought fox family and since the rangers had been airing on fox family since the end of fox kids Disney ended up with the franchise like consolation prize they didn’t want the rangers either they just let it sit there basically on autopilot the whole time they had the franchise also them selling off older props and suits says one of 2 things one they are done with the franchise or 2 they are just going to recreate all the older zords and monsters in cgi so they don’t need the physical suits anymore but it doesn’t look good to us fans especially ones like me who have been fans all 30 years

I feel like this would be impossible to do since Super Sentai has been a kids series first and foremost. If you guys want more mature Power Rangers, just hope Kamen Rider gets an English localization.

@@WokioWolfy No, I was meaning that should Power Rangers come back it would _without_ Super Sentai. As in it would stand on its own with original action footage. Again, not edginess, but similar to that rated-R bootleg 14 minute version. As long as they don't hire whoever did Disney Marvel/Star Wars action scenes they should be fine; actually the Once and Always fight footage was pretty decent.

7:14 that's what I wonder if no one bids on something then what happens to it? It would make more sense to sell it for whatever you can instead of just throwing it out but not everything would've been Toei since not everything was used for Sentai, a lot of the stuff you were showing as SPD props was just SPD stuff except for the Morphers. 8:26 even the SPD stuff there was pretty much all SPD material, nothing to do with Dekaranger. I completely get where Hasbro is coming from since they wanted to sell the suits but how about ask the actors who wore them IF they wanted to buy the suits at a discount? It doesn't help that Heritage Auctions has no clue what they are doing since some of their info is plainly inaccurate and shows disrespect to the franchise. Silver Space Ranger never had an Astro Blaster holster in fact I am not even sure if he even had a holster, checked and confirmed, no holster. The only ones who had white holsters on their right were core 5 Turbo core 5 Space pretty certain that they might be the only ones who had a white holster just on their right side. if you actually remember watching Mystic Force then you know for a fact that Melanie never wore Legend Warrior so how can they be spreading such misinformation? I'd like to participate on trying for stuff like Ninjor Battle Mode head, the Megazord heads, Dino Thunder Black AND White Super Dino Modes, Cosmo head, Slyther, Dino Supercharge, Scrozzle and a few suits including Solaris Knight, Shadow Ranger, Cruger, Dino Charge Purple, Dino Fury Pink and maybe a few others for Pink and Yellow BUT I sadly don't have the money so there is no way that I'd be able to do that.

I don't participate in auctions like this, but shows auction props/costumes all the time. Much more famous shows like "Succession" have huge auctions of various props and items, and even long-running shows like Mister Rogers' Neighborhood do too. It isn't out of the question for a show like this to auction items off. From a preservation standpoint, it seems to me like Japan preservers Sentai props and items way better than any Power Rangers owner (Saban, Disney, Hasbro) ever did. For those worried of preservation I believe the core costumes will always be in safe hands in Japan. In my opinion this auction is perfectly fine from an ethics standpoint. However $500 for every item is insane.
