Correction: Charge is a lot stronger than I made it out to be. It deals a possible range of CC from around 432 to as many launch procs the golem activates as it passes through the target, which could lead to extremally high CC. Also the stability is on the golem and not yourself as mentioned. Due to how the ability works it shouldn't be considered in dealing with mechanics or controlling adds.

Hey bro, gotta thank you.I'm turning 55 next month and GW2 is my first MMORPG. I spent my whole gaming life grinding on FPS shooters and can't believe what I missed. The Power Reaper is my first build.

Thanks a lot for this, I am new to the game and this build is really cool to play, plus the runes were affordable and I got ascended berserker pieces from wizard's vault. Btw any recommendations on where to get trinkets easily?

Check out my video on gearing but if not this is pretty much the easiest way, you collect map currency and trade it in for Stat selectable jewelry

I would say so, if you want more survivability you can change a few traits to boost that but keep a glassy build. And then adjust weapons however you want to play... Like the 1v1 I would stay relatively similar but ZvZ I would go staff and axe/warhorn for range DPS and AoE fear

Yeah in full berserker set dmg just ridiciously huge, but in this time you go in down state so fast) But still it's amazing build.

I don't use greatsword, I find it slow and boring. I use dagger/warhorn and dual swords and I still top the DPS charts, dagger has very good damage, LF gen and sustain. Swords are fun and also ranged.

I use axe on the off hand for lifetap It seems to help with the fast dips in some situations.

How are you using the shroud with the torch?? Reaper doesn’t support torch ….

If you have secrets of the obscure you can use the torch, if you don't have it, the warhorn is still great

What's the role of torch in this build? May i know why torch and not dagger/dagger or something?

The CC mostly, also the ranged life-force gain. The warhorn isn't hard CC so it's not as good for certain fights... if you need the dagger offhand, do it! Gw2 is the kind of game where you change weapons and traits before every fight, especially with the necro utilities

You really don't need the CC or the LF from torch on a power reaper, you already have plenty of sources for both - CC on shroud 5 and more if you combo it with shroud 4, the flip skill on shroud 3, the flesh golem (which is one of the best hard CCs in game to begin with), from all your chill applications, from the blinds on sword 4 and well of darkness, etc.; and with regular weapon rotations and the heal shout you're already good on LF. Torch is a condi weapon and its strike damage is laughable for pretty much no uique utility. The same can be said for offhand dagger. At the time this guide came out a focus would have been a better choice as it has higher base damage and a decent LF generation if that was a concern, and nowadays I feel like offhand sword might be best as it gives you CC on both skills, a heal, some life force on the 5 skill, and all that with significantly higher base damage.

It scales pretty big actually, especially because the extra power will crit so your ferocity will scale it even higher. I've heard numbers thrown around but I'm not 100% sure how much... I'll ask the only guy I know from snowcrows and let you know what they say

i see tyvm for the info...i was thinking of buying the wvw infusion then i saw u r also using that...its quite cheap compared to the dual stat infusions...cant be used on fractals tho but good for raiding@@alcapitian

Ok, so they spoke to me and showed me some calculations. It looks like roughly 2%-2.5%, which is a lot less than I originally thought. So yeah, roughly 1 to 2k dps on benchmark.

It's base game, so its pretty easy to find. But usually season 3 or 4 maps are good places to get them. Gather map currency and trade for any piece you need.... they are Stat selectable
