With most people, I feel like they've already said everything and are constantly repeating themselves. With you, I have the feeling that you will still find something new and exciting in Blender in three hundred years. Simply fantastic. 💥💥💥

I really appreciate that you magnify/enlarge the options boxes that you are using - please keep doing this! It's very helpful and makes following what you're doing so much easier, especially since I watch most of this stuff on my 8" tablet. Without the magnification of detail, it's just impossible to see exactly what people are clicking on. This is all good mesh modelling stuff. Thanks!! 🚀🚀

Cheers. I didn't really consider it a lot before but I was thinking its likely people watch a lot on their phone so it seemed a wise idea. Glad it's helped out.

I've been using Blender for several years now. At first, I was fascinated by various addons and their possibilities. But as time goes on, I increasingly realize that the native Blender, or Vanilla Blender as some call it, has so many useful options that need to be explored. Lately, I’ve been realizing more and more that Blender already has a lot of functionality, and addons should be added to that arsenal only when they’re truly necessary or when you really understand the essentials and see that an addon can ease or speed up your workflow. Thanks for the helpful advice, and cheers.
@ArtisansofVaul2 ай бұрын
@vrharh definetly agree. Sometimes things are a bit hidden but there is a LOT there in the program itself.
@richardconway64252 ай бұрын
Agree. It's a user interface issue, I think. It's definitely very capable software, but with that comes the need for a very well thought out UI, otherwise it's not accessible and difficult to learn.
@ArtisansofVaul2 ай бұрын
@richardconway6425 I think Blender suffers from having so much that it can do it's almost impossible to compact down to a UI that is going to be completely neat and obvious where everything is without using menu systems as it does. I think it does a really good job considering (though as always there is room.for improvement)

This is really handy, especially wrt cleaning up meshes after having done booleans or extrudes, where you may be left with not-quite-connected geometry. Being able to move a vertex and having it auto merge with a target vertex is much better than moving + merge-vertices + by-distance each and every time.

This is going to save me a lot of tedious work. Especially when you apply a complicated boolean, blender often does split edges in a wonky way that messes up the mesh. I'm pretty sure a G-enter with split edges turned on will fix many of those issues. A big thank you to you and Met
