I lost my entire collection five years ago and haven’t been able to look at cards till recently. I’m glad I found your KZbin and I’m following on Facebook. Thanks for the great information and access to the stars we love.

I have a few questions as I am attempting to set one a public signing now: 1. Is the athlete paid by hour or by ticket sold or both? 2. If the athlete doesn’t have a price what is an average price to start negotiations? 3. For a public signing how does pricing work with athlete? By ticket sold or by auto/pic taken?

Thanks for the info. I love public signings, and I liked when you mentioned the entertainment aspect of it. I really enjoy meeting the athlete and saying hi to them. Im an old guy and I still get a little nervous when I meet them for an autograph. But, what I do to get the most bang out of my buck(s) is...after the athlete signs an item like a baseball or football...I will step back about twenty feet and ask them if they can throw the ball back to me. So far, it worked everytime. Afterwards, I walk away thinking....WOW ! I just caught a pass from Joe Montana !!!!

Is there anything I need to do in order to prep a sports card to be signed? Which is better a Paint pen or sharper pen to sign a sports card?
@PowersSportsMemorabilia3 жыл бұрын
As far as the actual card I’ve heard of people using baby powder. Standard sharpie works fine. Otherwise you should always add your signing instructions with a small post it note

As a dealer can I create my own pricing to charge my customers? Or do they pay the athlete/actor directly. Great video btw.
@PowersSportsMemorabilia Жыл бұрын
Yes. They always pay you. You pay the athlete.

Do you really make much profit or is it more about building your brand? Sounds like it's a stressful thing to have an autograph signing.
@PowersSportsMemorabilia3 жыл бұрын
Dealers host signings to make a profit. It’s a service. Not stressful if you know what you are doing and have systems in place.

Is there any best way to see where signings are happening? Almost like a database where I can see upcoming signings in my area? Or do I just have to keep my eyes pealed?

How would you book a wwe wrestler for a signning
@PowersSportsMemorabilia3 жыл бұрын
Same as other athletes. Either contact directly or go through their agent.
