I do not think most people understand what a challenge it is to sing with Lucy, only because Lucy is so darn good !! ! The range she has the power and little Martha at 12 years old took on that challenge and blew it out of the park !!! It is a feat to sing with Lucy but the sisterly love shown through and Martha nailed it !!! Way to go girls !!! Beautifully done !!!

Martha’s supporting part is so difficult and she clearly has the range to do the higher part like her sister. You also can tell that Martha loves to listen to her sister sing, imagine them much younger singing together. Music helps so much with anxiety and depression ❤️

Janet can you imagine what it is like in the Thomas home ???? OOOOOH and by the way their Mother Louise sings also !!!! Saw a still picture on Lucy Thomas Face Book Fan page of Lucy and her Mother in the back seat of the car going somewhere and BOTH were singing !!!! I would say the girls singing talent is in their genes !!! Have watched most of their/her songs at lest 40 times and they still give this old man goosebumps and the chills !!! Fantastic !!

@@janetlawson4482 Actually when Lucy was first interviewed at 14 she stated her and Martha and Louise their mother ALL sing !!!! Imagine that home when those three break into a song !!! Lucy has been singing since she was 6 and taking voice lesson from the same coach since she was 7 !!!! That over 11 years !!! And I would assume Martha is also or at least Lucy is working with her!!!

@@wilburfinnigan2142 I totally understand that life, my mother was offered a scholarship to Julliard School of Music back when Pavarotti did guest classes, and chose Syracuse University instead for a more practical career and I was offered a vocal scholarship to UNC Chapel Hill, so breaking into song wasn’t uncommon in our household, it really was so much fun, but life offered a different direction for me and I just enjoy the singing of others, at 55 I am considering going back to singing, primarily motivated by listening to Dimash, and my mother is actually singing again, so after 35 years away from something that brought me joy and peace, I am hoping to start back, I always preferred singing within a group as opposed to solo work, but I love harmonies and blending in. The old pipes are rusty, so it could be an interesting journey, but one worth trying again ❤️

Martha has had a wonderful role model and an amazing big sister. It's easy to imagine what Martha will sound like in a few years. She really has found her voice and has confidence in her own vocal abilities. Martha is ready for a solo and so are we.

For giggles and kicks watch all their videos, there are now 7 of them last one just release 8/20/2022, the climb and my gawd Martha has grown and developed her singing, they do a Miley Cyrus "THE CLIMB" and in a different setting. Just a FYI young Martha is quite the equestrian and that is a hint of the setting, different, do NOT miss it !!!

Have you ever heard a woman, young Lady with so powerful a voice ??? And she actually sings those high loud long notes she does not scream them as so many others do !!! WOW !!! And what range she has, she can go low and powerful or high and powerful or any place in between !!! And bless little Martha for having the courage to sing with big sister, knowing she will be over powered, Why it is nice Martha gets some solo time and she is also very good for her age but is 5 long years behind Lucy in development, but Martha here is 12 years old and she is about to turn 13 so the hormones are kicking to help the development from child to young lady !!!! Martha needs to realize there are many people supporting her and rooting for her, and waiting for a solo !!! You young ladies go !!!!

I discovered Lucy and Martha in 2020. Since , i am bewitched by them. Lucy , singing solo songs , like "Hallelujah" or one of newest video: " all by myself" is Incredible. Even her first videos are stunning : " beauty and the beast", " Run" , " writings on the walls". You must know she has few original songs. The songs are from an upcoming musical : Rosie Starlight is the more successfull, but " Suddenly" and " gentle breeze" are also awesome. She did duet with her sister but also with a young British singer: Will Calan . All the duets are ......no words🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗

I did not care for the duet Lucy did with Calan as he basically over powered Lucy as she was but 14 and was not as powerful as today. same problem when most young ladies duet with a man they get overpowered and become just a decoration on the stage , I have seen it way too often and already it has happened to Lucy twice, on stage in the benefit concert and the song "Can I Have this Dance !!! It did nothing for Lucy. she needs to be aware of that. I think many young women stars think it is great to "sing" with a powerful well known man, that they will get noticed but they are just stage decorations and are being used !! !

Every time Lucy sang her part, the power and control is so obvious. She still has to be careful to not sing over Martha who is still developing her own voice. I can imagine Lucy singing both parts of this duet. She has the range to do one in her lower register and another in her higher register. She can use her medium register to bridge back and forth through the song. Lucy opens her mouth and magic flows out. Absolutely remarkable tonal quality and perfect vibrato each and every time.

I have when Lucy/Martha do a cover I go find the original performer and listen to them, sometimes I have to force myself and ever time Lucy or Lucy and Martha top the original singer. Lucy is someone very special and talented and has put the work in, and Martha is following but giving up 5 years and 8 months she is a brave little soul to take on that challenge, I kept hearing the term vibrato so looked it up and found a great discussion of it by a voice coach, Interesting, and Lucy has it mastered, and Marth has it also, they also mentioned few singers have the ability to do a great vibrato, or vibration, from Italian, so that and the fact Lucy has such an incredible and powerful singing voice makes her so special. And yet to hear Lucy speak she is so soft spoken and mild person, then give her a song and turn her loose. Stunning !!! Yes I am supporting Lucy and of course little sister Martha. they are fantastic !! !

@@SJR_Media_Group I noticed in the first two songs they sang Lucy so over powered Martha you could barely hear Martha, In say something, and In the Arms of the Angle especially and I wondered why Martha would want to sing with her, but in their third song, You raise me up Martha got some solo time and we could hear her, then the fourth , When you believe, Martha was on the right in what I believe the lead position and she led off and had quite a bit of solo time and Lucy seem to be more controlled Martha seemed to come into her own smile on her face and really getting into the song, and then the high five, that to me is one great song for Martha and then the Prayer was great. I have found so many times a power guy will duet with a young girl and just bury them by their powerful voice rendering the girl as just stage decorations, seen that with Jackie Evancho, and it happened to Lucy at one of her charity events where she sang The Prayer unrehearsed with a bellowing Bull and you could tell it pissed her off and she really had to belt it when he really started bellowing. something these girls/young women have to be careful of. You see so many people say Lucy should duet with others, but I would ask WHY???? She is able to stand her own and does not need a "Name" singer to embarass her.

@@wilburfinnigan2142 Thanks for comment. Martha has really gained ground over last year. She has her own special voice that is ready for a solo release. Link to Laura Bretan and a her sister Estera singing a duet. I almost prefer the non-famous Bretan (Estera) over her more famous sister Laura. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXW7n4GirMR_aLc There is a reason blood relatives harmonize together so well... genetics. Sisters will have similar vocal cords, throats, lungs, mouths, etc. Martha and Lucy match almost perfectly. Even their vibrato matches. That is almost impossible.

The Thomas Sisters have performed several other Duets earlier and one later (The Climb - Miley Cyrus). All of them are beautifully done. Their rendition of The Prayer is a great example of their perfect harmonizing. They match each other in tone, volume, even vibrato. What makes this truly remarkable is they do it with just 1 mic. It's easy to create great harmonies in the studio or on stage with separate mics. Their sound engineers love them, as they make the post production so easy. Listening to them is almost a religious experience. Lucy has so much control of her vocals, Martha has found her voice too. It's not hard to imagine how Martha will sound when she is Lucy's age now. They just get better every time. We all wonder when Martha will release her first solo. She is ready and so are we. I am so happy you have Lucy Thomas and now Martha Thomas on your radar. They never disappoint.

@@wilburfinnigan2142 It has been fun watching the 2 grow up on screen. If you saw Lucy at The Voice - Kids UK video, you saw little Martha behind the curtain with their family. Martha is a 'Teen' now, and Lucy will soon be 19, her last Teen year. Nothing but greatest respect for Martha. She has had a great role model (Lucy) but it must be intimidating to sing after hearing what Lucy can do with her voice. The entire family is involved with this. Before Lucy could drive, mum was busy hauling the 2 girls around for lessons and studio time.

WOW !!! And there parents own a furniture company with 25 employees !!! How the heck does Mother Louise do it ??? And on Facebook you see Louise with Lucy at various music events. Wow she has her work cut out for her.!!! Although Lucy did mention on one interview she got her license to drive and mentioned trips to lessons and the studio !!!

I have a habit when looking at a video or picture to look past the main subject and check out the back ground. did you notice Lucy in Colors of the wind was climbing on the same fence that was in THE CLIMB!!!! That appears to be next to their family farm, we see Lucy and Martha in the yard and that fence is in the back ground !!!

@@eileengibson1874 I gave up on attending live concerts as I did a couple of times spending a lot of money to listen to a warm up person and when the star gets on stage it is so noisy with yelling, screaming clapping you cannot hear them, and the acoustics are always poor. So I prefer to spend my money on their albums and listen to them at home on quality equipment and enjoy ALL the song and ALL the notes !! Concerts just make money for the recording companies !!!!

@@eileengibson1874 IF and when they ever get the show going it will be impossible for me to see them, being in the USA half a world away and an old guy, be 82 in a couple months and have not done much traveling in over 4 years, getting pretty stoved up. My hope now is I live long enough to hear the show has started, and hopefully there will be some kind of recording of it but I doubt that, most will probably what we see now a "dress rehearsal" of some of the songs. So for now I will just enjoy them on You Tube and their CD's, I have all 4.

Boy how can you not just be so captivated by that Voice, and you don't even see Lucy throat move pretty yet gasp for air, And Martha is right behind her, rt now Martha is trying to hold on to them long notes and she got it at the end, You know lucy is coaching that precious little 11 yr old sister Martha, and your right Cliff just my opinion i haven't heard noone to match their performance and thats to me Even though I'm not judging noone because they all are just doing they're own and thats alright. Thats the way its supposed to be. But ive compared how long anyone could hold a note like her and i haven't yet. She has won me and so helps me more than she'll ever know. This was a fabulous performance by both but I worry that Martha will get discouraged when literally getting buried when Lucy kicks it in to high gear with her power and Martha's voice disappears. This happened to Lucy when she was 15 agreed to sing at a charity event, this song the prayer with a guy Named Hercules, they never practiced just cold turkey sang and all was fine until they got to the part the guy ramped up the volume when they sang together nd it shocked Lucy and pissed her off and she really gave it all she had but she was still being drowned out by the bellowing bull. She was gracious about it but you could see the surprise and shock and her demeanor changed and she gave it both barrels. I only hope she learned a lesson about singing with these powerful men and also she considered what she does to Martha when she goes high and loud. Martha has a typical girls voice and does not have the power of the more mature Lucy !!

Cliff do yourself a favor and watch and listen to as many of Lucy's, and Martha's songs as you can, when one of her songs ends there are usually 4 suggested, just watch them all. Just for you and any you find exceptional then react to them, but watch and listen to as many as you can for YOUR enjoyment. And yes Lucy has a way of getting to you and me, Broken Dreams opened up some old wounds, for me, and judging by your reaction to that son you too !!! Cliff I would strongly suggest you listen to, react, to Lucy and Martha's WHENYOU BELIEVE... Mainly because it is a little different arrangement, Martha is on the right, in the lead position and starts the song, we get to hear a lot of JUST Martha and hear her sing by her self and for 11 years old she has some pipes on her and she gets wound up and really gets into the song and with a smile on her face, she had fun with that song, and then watch after the song ends DO NOT shut it off too soon, the high light is the very end !! Enjoy !!! Thanks for the react it is obvious Lucy and Lucy/Martha get to you also as she does to us !! STUNNING young ladies !!!

You have to watch Lucy and Martha Thomas sing "WHEN YOU BELIEVE" !!!! It is fantastic also. it was shown on the right lower corner of the screen after they finished the song !!! In "When you believe notice Martha is on the right and starts the singing, the ONLY time in the 7 videos she has been there !! WHY ??? Because Martha is the lead singer in that song !!!!Her first go and notice how much more she uses her body language and how much more she sings by herself !! Martha can sing to but remember she is only 12 in When and 13 in the prayer !!!

I already put a comment , but i have to add : please, listen to Lucy singing a cover of a cover done by Celine Dion ( again...... Sorry but she is quite a reference about vocals) So , the song is : All by myself ( lyrics Eric Carmen, music Rachmaninov.)
