I LITERALLY had this happen over a screen, which was already damaged, I used express on it and and a soft brush. Good thing I had a video snippet.. customer hasn’t texted me back once I gave him the video he asked for. I wonder why :p

I’m not a detailer but I’ve noticed this with my own vehicles. If I haven’t done a good cleaning for a significant amount of time then I do I notice stuff and I’m like “ wait when did this happen, or did I just do this”.

I understand this beginning concern, a checklist while doing a walkthrough (with the client when possible), if not video of walk around...a timestamp photo can save you a lot of headache, I agree wholeheartedly. In my city they will nitpick the meat off the 🦴! 😂😂

Okay, if the customer can't see the crack or damage when dirty, how can you see it?

For me, if I didn't see it right away after a "close" inspection, a lot of the damage will pop up after your first rinse/foam. I'm always watching what I'm doing and the surrounding areas, and if something pops up, I'll notate it, and if possible do a quick test on a surrounding area to ensure that it wasn't my doing. Most of the time, you'll see it pretty early though.

Good luck. There aren't many these days. Almost none cover "mobile" detailing and others you'll need to really read the fine print as to what they will cover ; mostly JUST your stuff vice damage to other vehicles

Yepp, i enjoy the old chill videos more. I put tgis video on 0.75 speed to make it a bit easier to catch everything.
