Thanks for playing, Scott! You were asking about the music. The opening track (Neon Love) you heard is written by our friend and long-time music collaborator Gavin Harrison, with the talented Matt Walls on vocals. The track is especially written for the game, like most of the music, and isn't available... yet. However, we have recently made some changes to the intro sequence, so it'll look (and sound) different in the live demo... Thanks again! FTG

I've been following this since the first announcement, and I'm SO ready for this game. There have been attempts (I've played them all), but The Precinct looks like the first to marry fun gameplay to the plodding, often humdrum side to policing. I'm hoping there's a lot of variety to the game, and an "open world" kind of vibe. According to the discord we can expect some emergent gameplay which should make for a living feeling to the city!

If you haven't played American Fugitive, do it before Precinct drops. Same developer, similar gameplay. Think isometric GTA (from the pre-3D era). Graphics are better in Precinct.

Fugitive is extremely repetitive and limited, feels like a mobile game, nothing in common with precinct

I tried out the demo on my Steam Deck with the FSR 3 settings. The performance wasn't great, with the frame rate dropping below 30 in some parts. However, I had a good time overall. I hope they improve the performance for handhelds, as this game is ideal for the Steam Deck.

If the camera view was regular. Then the game will be too much GTA style. Devs might be didn’t want to have this option in order to avoid comparison to GTA. Also this view makes game looks different and more interesting.

@@dw5556 GTAVI won’t be out any time soon. So this game could be a fun to full fill the gap if it something similar to China Wars and replayable. I don’t think price will be too crazy. $30-40 looks sensible.

They should have taken the GTA camera angle outside of the car, and they should animate the chars instead of going to comic book mode. Shooting should be first person mode. I get it.. indie small budget, but i think there is a lot of heat around this game, they will be succesfull.

The car is practically uncontrollable. You can kill as many pedestrians as you want with impunity. You can destroy the city infrastructure with the car and the car suffers no damage.

@@bobbyrutz9402 I have PSVR2. I bought it mainly to play GT7 (have to test NMS some day since they keep upgrading that sucker). Once I get the GPU on my PC upgraded I'm planning to use PSVR2 to play iRacing in VR (my all-time favourite racer/sim). I already got the adapter, but my GPU (GTX 1080) is not supported :( - (I also have the original HTC Vive, but it's a hassle to setup and use with base stations and wires, and the FOV/quality is much worse compared to PSVR2).

Half the cops are women 🤦‍♂, before anyone jumps down my throat my mother is a retired law enforcement officer who started in the late 80's. If you are going to set these games in the past but do absolutely nothing to authentically portray that era other than the music. Just set your game in the modern day.

Game looks fun and the city is nicely realised. Only issue for me is the cutscene character styles look like a cheap fremium mobile game and doesn't fit the game aesthetic imho.
