I think having to save up points to call in backup is reasonable. The alternative would be to have it on a cooldown, but this way it's tied more to gameplay. The points fill up so quick anyways that you can just summon a new car every few seconds until you have almost a dozen cars after one person, at which point it becomes pure carnage.

People complain about the map size but its both too early to see if the game really needs a bigger map, and also, I think people are approching this with that Early Access mindset of whats in the demo now is what we will have for the next 5 years. Me on the otherhand, I can't wait for the full release. And seeing how their last game, American Fugitive was improved further post-release, I don't think we will get that abandonware treatment (especially since the devs are pretty responsive and do watch / read everything).

@@Solo6R so I'm from the Mystery Science Theater 3000 club. Back in the days of basic cable in the 90s that only had 58 channels and that was a tv show made fun of bad films. One of the riffing troupes used in the show is a call back, which is to make a referrence or a quote from another film/show, good or bad. Ussually its done for comedy, but it has been used as an Easter Egg in various media to a quick homage.

The graphics are fantastic, but I don't like the cutscenes with static characters/dialogue. I imagine it's from a small publisher, but it just seems kinda cheap in comparison to the rest of the games graphics. I would love see an open world police game come out, I just am not a huge fan of arcade-style games.

I've listened to an actual court case where the officer responded that he arrested the subject because he resisted arrest. When asked about why the arrest was happening.. again, the officer responded "when I went to arrest him, he resisted, so I arrested him." In court.. an actual law enforcement officer said this

Wow, you're angry aren't you? It is considered authorized use of force to utilize a taser on a "fleeing" suspect for many police agencies. I understand that some department don't authorize it and it's their policy. As far as using a baton on a violently resisting suspect, this is also authorized per the use of force triangle. Police are actually trained to use force one step higher than what the suspect is currently outputting. It's a game, and I get that they want the player to feel like they need to follow a set a rules instead of guidelines.

I see how you have to manually cycle through 8 sirens through the vehicle wheel. "Use a controller for the best experience" sounds like the company just can't be bothered to learn that keyboards have multiple keys available to them. At 16:40 when you issued the wrong ticket, you logically used the mouse to click on the expired ticket. The problem was, the game was simulating a controller input and, if you rewatch that section, shows it was pointing at "inappropriate parking" instead. For a game that wants you to be very selective about what you're doing, it sure isn't very selective itself.

In the continuum and manuals and production documentation, a taser is equivalent to a handgun; it is not a non-lethal device, but less lethal alternative to a handgun. It occupies the same slot as a firearm in the use of force continuum but generally has lower average damage (even though it can and HAS been deployed to fatal results even in instances where the attacker would claim they did not intend to kill anybody). It's supposed to be another tool on the belt to help achieve better outcomes. The problem is modern police, who have had the tool for a while without any requisite oversight and essentially infinite qualified immunity, found they could deploy it without any fear of reprisal even in instances where they hit essentially compliant old people and children and even walked away in instances where they killed those people without any jail time.
