This is basically the same as the old GTA games, specifically GTA I and GTA II, which never released on PC. So the game were not designed for a controller, and this game wasn't either. Just because a game CAN be played on k&m doesn't automatically mean you should. Like you wouldn't play Asseto Corsa on k&m if you have a wheel, and you wouldn't play a flight sim on k&m if you have a yoke or a flight stick.

@@ZuluZizo There are so many games that are almost unplayable and certainly unenjoyable without a controller, like per example racing games. Isometric, Arcade 2D style & Top down games like this are extremely enjoyable and comfy on controller. Honestly, apart from shooters I'd recommend everyone trying out various game genres on controller without prejudice. :)

Looks like a higher-polished version of American Fugitive, which to my surprise, the devs actually made! Hell, it even reused a couple of the cars here and there! AF was a bit clunky due to it's overhead cam making high-speed driving near impractical as I kept crashing into everything so the tilted overhead view offers much greater visibility!

Really does look worth buying. I played the demo and want more. I love that they did an old school demo. I've been on their discord and got a good feeling about what the developers are trying to do. I have to disagree with you regarding the gunplay, I enjoyed the style of gunplay they put in. It reminds me of the old timey games. Agreed about the keyboard and mouse controls. I gave the Devs some feedback on that and got a response within hours saying they were going to fix it for the full release.

Best demo of the Next Fest. Putting cuffs on people reminded me of good ol Urban Chaos 🤣 For a small indie team, they did a fantastic job on the world and making it feel alive. Then they added high speed car chases through it along with a backup system. Thats an extremely large and arduous task for an indie team their size but theyre holding up just fine. Im very optimistic about this one.

The shooting part is really bad. Also I hate how it stops your mission if you beat them when you aren't supposed to but hopefully that's just in the demo/tutorial. I'd like to see corruption in it and the option of being a bad cop. If it gets big they can do a Maniac Cop dlc. Are the other emergency services in the game doing their thing too?

On the other, too much realism in a game like this can be a bit of a drag (I still have nightmares of endlessly giving out parking tickets in Police Simulator). Either way, in a better world somebody would have made an open world Judge Dredd game by now.
