For the people who were wondering which languages they heard. Jetro Willems is ofcourse speaking Dutch. Curaçao is part of the Dutch Antilles, islands who are independent from the Netherlands but somehow still are part of the kingdom. And they speak Papiaments, a Spanish/Dutch language.

Papiamento comes from Portuguese/ Spanish/ Dutch..... and its closer to Criolo language spoke in Cape Verde and Guiné Bissau! I speak it and can under most things they say. He speaks both languages by the way. Dutch and Papiamento.

NO we speak *Papiamentu* which is a creole mixture of portuguese and spanish (not dutch) papiamentu is similar to cape verdean creole probably because majority of the slaves that were brought here came from cape verde, papiamentu and dutch are two SEPERATE languages everybody mixes a few dutch words in when speaking papiamentu solely because they were taught that way and ofc we are still in the shackles of The Netherlands for some reason

@@wael4070 its a Portuguese based language with heavy Dutch, Spanish and English influence. Most people from Aruna, Bonaire, Curacao and the rest of the Dutch Antilles are fluent in Spanish, Dutch and English... while Papamineto us usually their mother tongue
