The football world must appreciate Brighton. Not only the players are wonder kids, the manager is also wonder kid.

Yeah and they're also one of like 10 prem teams with less than 10,000 fans. Its not like they havent spent a boat load of money either. Yes its impressive. Yes it satisfies that football manager / fifa career mode itch, but its still a modern quirk that leaves much bigger clubs in the wilderness.

You gotta respect Brighton management and board. When they first promoted to EPL, I thought they'll be a yo-yo club like Fulham. But they proved all of us wrong with their wise approach to signing players, appointing managers, internal stability, and they are consistently have been a force to be recon with for the Top Teams. Their case should be used model approach for clubs of how to build and manage a football club with minimal resources.

Brighton have had such a great lineage of managers in the Tony Bloom era. Chris Hughton led them to the Premier League, Graham Potter solidified their place there by bringing them to the midtable, Roberto De Zerbi led them to the Europa League, and now Fabian Hurzeler should make them a threat for years to come

I know spending a lot doesn't guarantee success but I'm not too surprised because they are a well-run club. great coach although he should work on his temper (he got sent off several times last season!). the ugly part about this is that st. pauli lost the architect of their success and their best midfielder and lost all their games in the 1st division so far. it looks like they are going down again. we've seen it many times when a team becomes "too good for their own good" and suffer for it
