I have studied- நான் படித்து இருக்கிறேன்........ இந்த வாக்கியத்தில் studied என்ற சொல் study என்ற verb இன் past participle ஆக " படித்து" என்ற பொருள் தருகிறது...... உண்மையில் study என்ற verb இன் past participle க்கு அர்த்தம் " படித்த " என்பது சரியா......? இல்லை " படித்து " என்பது சரியா.......? Using the value of x the value of y is calculated - x இன் மதிப்பை பயன்படுத்தி y ன் மதிப்பு கணக்கிடப்படுகிறது....... இந்த வாக்கியத்தில் Using என்ற சொல் Use என்ற verb இன் present participle ஆக " பயன்படுத்தி " என்ற பொருள் தருகிறது...... இது present participle மற்றும் past participle இடையில் குழப்பம் உண்டாக்குகிறது...... தெளிவு படுத்த வேண்டும்....... தமிழ் இலக்கணத்துடன் Compare செய்து சொல்லி கொடுத்தால் நன்கு புரிந்து கொள்ள முடியும்...... தமிழில் உள்ளது போல் ஆங்கிலத்தில் impersonal active voice இல்லை...... The shops are closed -கடைகள் மூடப்படுகிறது - இது passive voice ......கடைகள் மூடப்பட்டு உள்ளது என்றும் சொல்லப்படுகிறது.....எது சரி.......
