I would suggest that next time you invite a guest, you should all sit around a circular table so that no one’s back is towards someone and the conversation can be more inclusive that way.
@txla487829 күн бұрын
Or maybe they should have put Evette in the middle to make it easier for the conversation to flow. 🤷🏽♀️ The audio needs adjusting too 🙃

I would like to clarify the statement made about Hispanic/Mexican households not instilling the value of education. That is false, the emphasis on education varies depending on factors such as socioeconomic status, the neighborhood the child is being raised, the parents’ own education,and their views while raising their children. Not all Hispanic/mexican families are the same. It would be different if she said her household didn’t instill education in comparison to her actual statement of generalizing our subgroup as one.
@argiew8516Ай бұрын
Her statement is very much true in my household. Work was instill in us.

@monicaliliana5081Ай бұрын
This is very true. I’m Mexican and my parents were very adamant about us graduating and supportive when it came to that. Our (siblings and I) work ethic is also very important too, but education was a big deal growing up in my family.
@jayyariasАй бұрын
@@monicaliliana5081 I love to hear this! So Proud ! ✊🏻👏🏻
@2084aloАй бұрын
Yes! She cant speak for all Mexicans because i know for a lot of families Education is #1 priority…thats why our parents sacrificed a lot so we can better ourselves in that sense

Cali girl here raised In Mexico. It’s weird that she says in Mexican culture education is not #1 bc u grow up with the mindset of working. No. In Mexico, education is very important for example all my mom and her 9 siblings finished university and so it was excepted from all of us to do the same right after High School. All my friends I grew up with same thing in Mexico. Education is very important , complete it a career. It is good and bad for example I felt the pressure I had to make a decision to choose a career when I did not know what I really wanted but yes Mexican culture we are hard working people so we work hard to accomplish anything we want .

I’m a med student, I’d like to comment on the gallbladder thing. When you have stones in your gallbladder (without pain), you don’t need to remove the gallbladder. But if you have pain (cholecystectomy, biliary colic..) the definitive treatment is to remove the gallbladder. That is because cholecystitis is recurrent and it has a lot of complications
