Oh my gosh! The fact that Josh came back and validated Sebas’ mom on the fact that being a mom is hard no matter if you are single mom or have a partner. Giving her credit shows what a phenomenal person Josh is and kuddos to his mom she raised him into the man he is 😭😭😭

You can tell Sebas mom went through a lot of silent struggles and put herself aside a lot for her family! I don’t think she gave herself enough credit! I see a lot of comments talking about Josh’s mom but they’re both equally incredible inspiring woman who did a phenomenal job doing life’s hardest job regardless of the cards dealt to them ♥️

The comments are crazy, but I do think both Josh and Sebas did great in validating and making both of them feel special. Must I add… Josh’s mother did add during her labor story that she did not have a voice either and her husband at that time made a decision (that should of been hers to begin with) to have him naturally which she did not want. So I can’t imagine what other struggles she went through. Both sound amazing women, goes to show how women had it back then.

To Sebas mom: please don’t be afraid to express how hard it is for moms in a married relationship regardless, moms in a relationship have it just as hard . I think everyone fails to recognize that even though we have a stable relationship with a husband always gone and us always in charge of kids really takes a toll on our emotional health and the feelings of isolation. (Josh thank you for recognizing and acknowledging that either status is equally as hard)

Absolutely true ! I felt this 💯 yes we have hard working husbands and always providing for us but it’s hard being in charge of the kids 24/7. It’s mentally and physically exhausting however how do you express that without being told you’re complaining, or it being too hard to handle. I feel like some days are easier than others, when we are at 20% and your husband is at 80% even after a long day, pick up some of her slack it’s called being a team. ❤

I feel like we don’t hear that we’re doing a great job often. So thank you I feel like I really needed that. Your moms are amazing beautiful and they did amazing at raising the both of you. I hope one day I make my kids proud and I hope one day they will talk about me how you guys talk about your mothers. It’s so beautiful. ♥️

Had to pause to write this.. @ 53:19 Thank you Josh for crediting Sebas mom when it came to raising kids even with having a partner. Having kids is HARD and as a mother who has the help from a partner you sometimes still carry the majority of the mental and physical burden as we tend to be the default parents when it comes to kids/household. This is by far the best episode. Both moms have a different perspective of parenting. There is no wrong, or right. Some moms specially in the Hispanic culture put up with a lot, and stay quiet to keep their family together. It is a sacrifice to be a stay at home wife, and put your kids first. It is also a struggle to be a single mom and not see your kids grow. I love this real life topics as opposed to “influencers”. Keep it going La Platica!

I am a 26 yr old sahm with 2 boys and I genuinely love staying home with my babies but gosh is this hard & lonely. Even more being on a budget I don’t have the ability to splurge on myself, go to a store and buy the things my kids would love but my husband is such a hustler that he makes it possible for me to stay home and care for our kids. I also couldn’t imagine being a single mother and not having a supportive spouse to fall back on when things get difficult. Props to all of us mom’s for always putting our babies future & needs before ours that’s the sacrifice us mom’s have to do to raise amazing kids.

I’m 30 with 2 boys my oldest is autistic and I thank god for giving me the husband that I have because had it been someone else they probably wouldn’t have been supportive of me being a SAHM. 🤎

Sometimes your mother isn’t the person that will love you the most, I listened to a psychologist on this topic about narcissistic mothers which is higher than narcissistic boyfriends, so to anyone that didn’t have this blessing you’re not alone ❤ sending big hugs

@@lindsaycalvillo9546 Yes, it’s very sad. The psychologist said the worse thing you can tell someone that is suffering from psychological abuse from their mother is those exact words it was definitely embedded in my head and I can’t help but to remember it isn’t always true 😢

Marie - I love you & respect your courage. I walked away from my toxic relationship when my son turned 5 weeks so I understand you so much. My baby is only 6 yrs old now but I can already see how taking a leap of faith to leave a toxic “family” has made all the difference & its helping mold my son in to a good little man and grow to have self respect & self love and that Mom is a strong woman & he should also never settle for less than he deserves. ❤ Lorena- being a fully committed Mom & wife & putting them before your own wishes & dreams is the most selfless act of Love in the Universe! ❤

YES, YES, AND YES!! Josh's mom is correct!!! I had to also walk away from a relationship that was not healthy at all! It is a panful process but it needed to be done. I don't wish to know what my kids would be like if I stayed. But I'm glad that I left. My kids are growing up to be amazing kids, and to have boundaries to be respected and looked up to and to be better than I ever was. This episode was awesome and so touching to watch.

Definitely one of my favorite episodes, motherhood is one of the most hardest yet most rewarding jobs to have. No one realizes how much we put ourselves as a mom second maybe even last just put our household first but just to see our family happy makes everything worth it.

Seba’s mom is also amazing being a SAHM with 5 kids is a lot of work. And giving up her time to all of them and being consistent must be exhausting but rewarding. I loved this episode even tho I didn’t have a mother like either one of you guys I wish I did.

I agree. She also mentioned she went to school to be a teacher. She sacrificed so much for her children, and for her family. Both moms show how much they would do for their children. They both did it differently and turned out to be amazing parents.

Very much appreciated. Favorite episode over all episodes. Love you guys and keep doing what you are doing you guys are amazing people and the appreciation never goes unnoticed.

Sentir la presencia de un padre es tan importante como su presencia fisica. En una familia el balance es importantisimo. Pero siempre es importante reconocer el esfuerzo y el amor de una madre. Sebas' mom was very intentional and selfless in her choice as a mother figure and that is absolutely HUGE! Kudos to her. Las dos mama's escogieron lo mejor para ellas y esto es lo mas importante y admirable. Being a mom is a dedication that comes with selfless love.

I have to say I never comment on videos, but this touched my heart. So glad Josh gave credit to Mrs. Lorena being a mom is a hard job regardless if you have a husband specially doing it 24/7 now add a husband on top of that that requires there own attention and love as a spouse. Hardest job but for sure the most rewarding props to both moms!
