Black Sabbath got zero airplay and no respect even as the founders of Heavy Music until the Mid 90's. Critics in the 70's HATED them and as a result nobody even knows one track from their Best album except for deep fans. TPR will get their respect one day but one problem is Taylor is too pretty for serious music critics. They look at her and see pop.

I found this comment on the internet: “25” fits the theme of the album well, as singer Taylor Momsen chronicles her life in the context of Rock and Roll and her own idolization of rock stars in her teens. She also references the Club 27, as she already did in the first single “Death by Rock and Roll”. She talks about the first little experiences with sexuality (“Five to six, a lie, a kiss”) which ultimately repeated themselves a little later on (“Ten, we’re here again”). Momsen is known to be a lover of the Rock and Roll genre and she seems to have idolized rock stars in her teens. In typical dramatic and rebellious fashion, she had thoughts about imitating the death of her idols at 27 Many rock stars have perished at that age, leading to the formation of the infamous Club 27. (“And all through my teens, I screamed that may not live much past”). Momsen was indeed twenty-five years old when she wrote the song. She confirmed that an interview with Blabbermouth published on November 13, 2020. The chorus talks about her still being alive at that age and that it seems to become apparent that she will not die at twenty-seven. EDIT: The 25th is also the day Kato Khandwala died.

My oldest daughter introduced me to Taylor and Pretty Reckless years ago. It’s the one singular thing my daughter and i have in common. Her beautiful dark taste in music. If she would only embrace the demon within herself she would find peace in our relationship. To share in that darkness of tortured souls. We are more alike than she cares to admit to herself. I love her dearly though we can’t see eye to eye. In this music i seek a connection i fear we may never share. “I know that today i lost my only friend, my little one”

Always impressed at the lyrics they come up with. One of my favorite bands for about 5 or more years now. Love MSS Taylor, she’s an Angel!!!!!!

This feels like the next James Bond theme song. In the video we would see Bond's xth kill: at one we see his first kill. and so forth until the 25th, his most recent kill.

This is absolutely one of the best songs this gal had done. Her voice is absolutely beautiful. You can hear every instrument. They over lap perfectly.

What a brilliant young lady and band! I knew from the start of "The Pretty Reckless" that Taylor was going to be the brightest star in the future of Rock'n'Roll!

I was waiting for her to belt that last note like in Already Dead... She turned my expectations to sand and shattered it in my hand as well. Jokes aside, this was painfully stellar and I love it to death.

Wow another stunning vocal from Taylor. Lzzy Hale is my favourite singer of all time, but every time I hear the Pretty Reckless I have to question that. So much emotion wrapped up in every note. She gives me chills every time I hear her.

Wow. Everything got better. Writing, singing, band, everything. Incredibly expressive song. Not everything in 2020 was bad.

Brilliant! An earthshaking vocal!! Elegant backing! Incisive lyric! And MORE…… No computers, no auto-tune or Melodyne, no click track…Imagine that! Musicians with dexterity and chops enough to rise to the recording summit that was abandoned nearly completely by 2000. In the studio, no decisions were made by looking at a screen; decisions were made exclusively by LISTENING to the music.
@uome20bukz3 жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure they used a click track. Most artists do use one in the studio. If there’s any moment where a band wants precise, surgical timing, it’s in the studio on a professionally recorded track. And a click track is the easiest way to achieve that level of timing.

My first song was "Make Me Wanna Die" which I heard at 14 during their The "Light Me Up" era. Then I dug around and found some good demos by them like "Zombie" and "Blonde Rebellion". Their music has consoled me in my doldrums and taught me to enjoy my youth and helped me through all the years.

She's got such a powerful voice. I've followed her for years. Wish her songs didn't have so much negativity against god. But, regardless she's one of the best out there imo.

Majestic song, majestic instrumental track, majestic lyrics, majestic melody, spectacularly deeply moving, convincing vocal. There’s more, like the great production… The best that we’ve witnessed since the seventies! Exhilaratingly intelligent from any angle.
