Here is the long awaited Buick offerings collage from TPIR spanning 3 decades. This video, as the others, are for entertainment purposes and the availability of these clips are from the efforts of many fellow KZbinrs. It takes hours to put these videos together so I hope you enjoy. As always, I apologize in advance for the variations in quality and sound, but these are pieced together from uploads, many of which were VHS conversions. ** If you are enjoying these themed clips, please consider a small donation to cashapp $chrismo757 ** Thank You!

You and me BOTH dude! Those 1990's Le Sabre's were SO comfy! My boss had one. This spring, at my doctor's suggestion as I was in the market for a new car, and have back and muscle issues, I went to see the Buck Enclave. Unreal! I LITERALLY could not fit in the thing. The center console was so wide I couldn't get my leg over far enough to reach the accelerator. The seats were small and hard and the driver's door was right up against my leg. Even the salesman said "that's not the car for YOU!"
@tyler2610
@tyler2610 2 жыл бұрын
@@retroguy9494 Yeah, I had a couple Enclaves but when I was in the market for a new car in 2018 I was not crazy about the then new model so I upgraded to the GMC Yukon. It is a nice vehicle but I still would much rather drive a traditional full-size luxury sedan. The SUV is just unnecessarily big and even with all that weight not quite as smooth.

@@tyler2610 Well, I have severe back and muscle issues. I have a 2005 Yukon which I bought new at the suggestion of my chiropractor as he wants me sitting at a 90 degree angle and I'm 6'1". Anyway, I needed a new one as the frame in mine is all rusted out now form the salt and brine. The seats on the new Yukons are HORRIBLE. I sat in it for about 4 minutes before I started to feel pain in my pelvic muscle and back. Plus the seat is shorter and feels like I'm sliding off it. And like the Enclave, I feel pinned in with no room to move my legs (an absolute necessity when I drive). So my doctor told me to look for a low mileage Escalade or Yukon from '07 to '14. I finally found a '14 Escalade with 16K original miles. Not as comfy as the '05 Yukon but doable. I also had to pay 6K over book value due to all the pandemic price gouging.

@@retroguy9494For some reason automakers all seem to want their seats to feel like a sports car. It doesn’t make sense! I don’t know how comfort got a bad name in the auto industry but it seems to be that way. My Yukon’s seats are definitely on the firmer side but not uncomfortable IMO. I haven’t driven the new body style but if you feel cramped in a Yukon, you must be a big guy. I feel like it is huge, almost to much so. I can’t hardly reach into the glove compartment from the driver’s seat it’s so wide.

Actually several GM cars had a "brougham" option. Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac and Pontiac all had models that were "broughams." It referred to the kind of top it had. My favorite aunt's last car before she died was a whopper of a name. It was a 1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Regency Brougham! LMAO

@@tyler2610 I agree with you 100% on the cars today looking like golf carts. In fact, so too are many of the cars that people BUY and drive today. However, regarding leather, you have to bear in mind that way back then, cloth was actually more EXPENSIVE than leather or vinyl. It was considered a high priced option as it deemed to be more elegant and comfortable. Which is why, until my current vehicle, I always had cloth interiors. The only reason I have leather now (which I don't like) is because it's a Cadillac and you can't GET a Cadillac with cloth interior anymore.

The further you go forward the more the cars become eccentric and cheesy .. too focused with accessories that really have no value to the overall driving experience and has more to do with making a car feel as though you're driving a house on wheels ...... Essentially what I'm trying to say is the further you go back there's just more substance
