Fyi that car could fucking fly if it was the turbo version. The rims say it was, I didn't hear it. And if it was a standard it was even faster. Those things would cook from 35 to 100 in like 2 seconds. You could always smell the oil cooking, seeing people get excited for those base models is hilarious. That turbo Daytona was one of the most fun I've ever had driving a car and I've driven alot of cars, the front wheel snap and pull you would get is buts and the Shelby charger was so much fun, people have no clue how awesome these cars were in the 80s. Just so much better then they have now.

"You could win a new K-Car!" This video is a reminder of just how dark the 80s were for Chrysler. I do like that Diplomat though.

K cars were well build nice driving cars reliable too...Remember Toyota/Honda/Nissan/VW/Ford/GM small cars were uglier than the K car! I worked at a dealer starting in the late 80's and drove every type of 1980's car and the K cars were really comfortable good driving cars..A family member had a 1986 Aries LE 2 door the 2 doors looked pretty good for the era and that car was driven until 2001 and they had over 300,000 miles..The thing with older cars until the early 1990's they had a 5 digit odometer,meaning after 99,999 they went back to 00,000 so you never knew the mileage unless it was verified by accurate up to date paperwork! The ugliest cars were the Toyota Cressida, Corolla and Honda Accord/Civic of the 80's those gave me an odd feeling looking at them,my stomach actually turned.

@@mypronouniswtf5559I remember when I was a teenager, every rural mail carrier drove a Dodge Aries or a Plymouth Reliant. Even if there was really nothing exciting about them, they were reliable, economical transportation. My parents had a couple of them, lasted a very long time.

5:08.....................A little bit of trivia........1985 was the only year of the Aries'/Reliant's redesign that offered the 2.6-liter engine. It would be replaced by the Chrysler-built 2.5 for '86. Johnny never mentioned the EVA on either of the Dodge 600 ES's at 1:42 & 2:19
@mypronouniswtf555911 ай бұрын
They had the 2.6 starting in 1981 along with the reliable 2.2 Chrysler,true 1986 the reliable Chrysler 2.5 replaced the unreliable,problematic Mitsubishi 2.6. I worked at a Chrysler dealer and all the 2.6's smoked and had major issues like the Mitsubishi 3.0 V6 they used,those gave Chrysler a bad name,but if you knew you knew what to avoid!
