The price of matooke drops in Isingiro

As the price of matooke continues to go down as a result of the #COVID19 lock down, farmers in Isingiro are calling on Government of Uganda to purchase their produce for vulnerable families in hunger stricken regions before it rots away on the farms. Currently, a big bunch of matooke goes for as low as 300 Uganda shillings on the farm.

Value Addition... Peel the matooke, dry it and turn it into powder or even wine/kasese waragi. We can even export some in form of flour and turn the peels into animal feeds for cows/goats/sheep and sell meat and milk
