Woo! Episode 2! It's not boring at all. It kinda feels like hanging out with you for a few minutes more than watching a video.

I know have an (obvious) idea for my extensive collection of sayings, inspirations and amusement currently stored in a large box. As a retired graphic designer and book designer, making a one-off for personal enjoyment is eminently do-able. Thanks.

Oh wow. Memory unlocked! About 12-15 years ago I worked in a book store. I loved flipping through this on quiet nights in the shop. Such a fascinating and hefty tome.

The scavenger hunt for the book was so fun even though I was not one of the people who figured it out. Can’t hear the music or the trains. I wish we could hear them.

I'm glad I'm not the only one wanting to hear the music and trains😭😭😭

I bought a copy for around $80 with shipping. I've never seen a book quite like it. Cool recommendation.

Abraham, love the long format. Keep it up! Also KEEP your tag line. "Come along if you like it." You'll probably never get this because this video is months old now. But on the topic of books and GOD. Did you ever read "The Four Agreements" By Don Miguel Ruiz? I'd come along for a discussion on that!

Abraham, you're such a fascinating person. I've seen your studio now, but I still don't know what you do for a living. I know you sell puzzles online, but is that your main career? You obviously have a passion for words. Are you a writer?

Book publishing is so weird. I read David Halberstam's book The Children, about the SNCC, the Freedom Riders, and the Civil Rights movement of the early 1960s. At the end of the book, Halberstam just mentions in his acknowledgements that Gunnar Myrdal's An American Dilemma is the best, most insightful book he's ever read.... So, I decided to get a copy.... Jesus Mary--all the copies are ridiculously expensive.... I ended up getting a hardcover 1962 edition from a Goodwill somewhere for a hundred bucks---which was below market value, from what I could see..... But that book is totally worth it. Halberstam was right. Even though it was written in 1944, it's still very contemporary..... My point is, the fact there's lots of demand, for a book that's out of print? Seemingly, that doesn't mean jack. Gustav Hasford's books about the Vietnam War (The Short-Timers and The Phantom Blooper) are long out of print, and insanely hard to find.

Sounds a bit like Meditations from Marcus Aurelius. But with pictures, and much more recent quotes.

This is random I would love to hear your thoughts on “Deep Adaptation”. I think some of it is flawed but I really like the 4 R’s to consider and I do believe climate change will impact us not only in a ecological but social way. “Resilience: what do we most value that we want to keep, and how? Relinquishment: what do we need to let go of so as not to make matters worse? Restoration: what could we bring back to help us with these difficult times? Reconciliation: with what and whom shall we make peace as we awaken to our mutual mortality?” (I would add to the last part what do we need to not forget in this reconciliation?)

Any ideas of what could help children: 1) appreciate and value our planet as more than a commodity to be plundered 2) understand our impact 3) help change our societal short-sighted perspective of time 3) relearn skills required in future 4) address the social emotional aspects of a changing climate.
