Watching this after KT gave me the same feeling as seeing the credits after a movie. Must be hard looking at the audience's stand it's so unfair for them but it's how it is after you go thru a climax

I have to agree that the Kyoto Tachibana Band should perform last. I am not saying that this band is bad. But after such an exhilarating performance by KTB, any subsequent performance will seem lackluster. I kind of feel bad for this band because people in the audience started leaving well before they finished playing.

Hahahaha it seems like it hahaha. This band should be last, they are University and the others are just High school. But japan high school band took the show..
@massvt38215 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, pretty tepid. At least 70% of the rear grandstand had left the stadium during the course of the performance. Pretty obvious that the kids of Kyoto Tachibana know more about performing than the band directors at the U of Oklahoma. THe OU band is competent, but in reality, it's just another college band, playing the same music that drives people to the concession stands during football games. If Tachibana is performing, they'd stay in their seats.

日本語のコメントはオクラホマ大学の演奏はいいと書かれた人が多く、英語のコメントは橘を褒めてオクラホマ大学をけなしている人が案外いる。 Many Japanese comments praise the OU band, while many English comments favor Tachibana over OU, sometimes being disrespectful of the OU band.

For people hating on this band they obviously worked hard also like any other band and since their from a college like OU they are also really good. If u also realize marching band everywhere have different styles and different ways of being taught not saying any of the bands were bad but don’t really compare different styles of bands OU is a gud band wether they go after tachibana or not all bands are gud in own ways

There's a lesson to learn here and the organizers should know it by now. Have Tachibana perform last because they give that grand finale rather than that fizzled out exit we saw here.

If you watch the videos that show all the bands at this bandfest, they all did great in their own way. Obviously, they all worked hard on their routines. The issue that they have to consider, however, is what is the purpose of this bandfest? Is it a strict competition where certain procedures must be done to score points? Is it to have the biggest sound? Or, is it merely to entertain the crowd? I believe it was to entertain so that said, KT really entertained with dance steps, cute formations, a birthday celebration, and even a little dinosaur story.
In fairness, they play good tunes (given their sheer size). But Kyoto Tachibana just stole their thunder at that time. And, oh: Boomer Sooner: reminds me of a great Oklahoman--Good Ol' J.R. Jim Ross.
I'm glad there is a video of Oklahoma's performance. I watched Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band and was curious about the band that followed them. I love marching bands and I don't think I've ever seen a bad performance from a marching band, whether large or small. I love the dedication, enthusiasm and talent of wonderful young musicians. Thank you for a great performance.

there're so many reasons why I can't feel the joy as while watching Tachibana. Oklahoma band is just an orchestra band. just my opinion.

So ... here is what I do not understand ... you see the people leave. every year the Japanese bands steal the show ... are the American band directors blind? People come te be entertained simple as that.. Go tachibana!!!
@freddybigs106 жыл бұрын
The Tachibana girls pour their heart and sweat into learning all the music and choreography. Most other bands don't have members willing to put in half as much work as that.

yeah. this band indeed a beast in term of music quality. they sound really awesome. but, this band didnt entertain me. tachibana nailed it. you can see also the japanese culture and tradition in the tachibana's. thats the major differences. marching band was born from the war, lead the soldier, and thats blent into western culture, just like this american band, thats the US culture, and thats why american band still like this. still like leading an army. but it happen in many country, also in japan, the tachibana only bring some new innovation and put their culture and some other arts, not just about music. thats why in japan they r peerless cause many of other band r not much different with this one.
Wiljam van den Bulk I did not even notice that till you mentioned it. I guess YIUR right Tochibana steak the show. Well Tochibana did a pretty amazing performance. First time I’ve seen band like that. I hope they would do a show again this coming years.
I love this band. I became a fan. Especially, the sound is very beautiful. from Japan
@TonyTony-iw5sf3 жыл бұрын
Hahahaha Japan has more notes than this one,. Japan you can hear all the instruments and this one all you hear is trumpets and drums. But still a good band.
@spang97823 жыл бұрын
@@TonyTony-iw5sf Well, this is one reason, if you noticed, that Kyoto Tachibana and all Japanese bands place their percussion and pit BEHIND the rest of the band rather than in front. The percussion is going to be heard no matter where they are placed so Japanese bands prefer to have the focus on the dancing and formations.
『OU's new drum major』『2017 Pride of Oklahoma Season Highlights Teaser』

Not gonna lie I feel bad when I see people left when they still playing. Also, that girl in the center, isn't it hard to notice her? There's so many member behind her.

Lack luster. Even those at the front seemed bored showing no energy or attempt to join in. When you have a band this big you dont hear the mistakes. KT spread out yet still sounded great and everyone playing or not were part of the performance.
Biggest insult to any performance is when you see a line forming going to the exit while the performance is going on..i don't get why tho..they are really good..is it because of tachibana?
