This is excellent and spot-on. But I would add that even in our obedience as Lutheran Christians, we continually miss the mark. The only thing I would add is an emphasis on pursuing God wholeheartedly as a response to His unconditional love in the sacrificial death of His son. The Lord has so much more to offer when we love Him back as King David understood. I believe this relationship is essential in order to truly live in His presence. In this light, people see changed hearts and lives which in turn impacts them in a positive way. Knowing people who truly loved the Lord, I saw more clearly how He used them for His glory. Along with study, worship, and prayer, the Lord has blessed me and my family immeasurably. To Him be all Glory, Honor, and Praise!

"It's actually kind of creepy to give that to someone else." Thank you for saying this part out loud. I remember being horrified as a student teacher when I had to, like a captive, sit and listen to an old man Lutheran School teacher explain the marital act to sixth grade boys and girls. Why the church has adopted this sort of stuff is a mystery to me.

Very inspiring. It has a mature optimism to it that says good things will happen if you pursue them wholeheartedly (Sermon on the mount), as opposed to a naive optimism that says good things will just happen or God will do all the work for us so we can sit back and enjoy.

I think our society needs to start being more responsible and stop being so promiscuous! Start being responsible with your sexuality and realize that the world is going to become less able to sustain such a large population. Why don't we concentrate on the children that are already here and help them to have a home, love and a full stomach! Ive known those with addictions difficulties and pop kids out to receive more money from the system and fathers that head for the hills to avoid responsibility! Start taking responsibility for the earth instead of your own selfish desires!

this judgement is judgement. there is more to this issue that this trivial talk. The mother with 3 kids who has cancer and is pregnant is a choice of surviving the treatment, dying or killing both unborn and mother. these pious and pompous views of the holier and thou beg the question of this MAN

Where this is a reality for some, it is the miniscule reality. The argument for abortion is not for the mother of 3 with cancer. This is a farce. The argument for abortion is for women to have the choice to kill their child for whatever reason they want (maturity, finances, the list goes on). You ask the same people posing the question of the sick mother seeking abortion if they would support abortion only in this instance, and their answer is always no. This is a fallacy and not helpful to the argument for the majority of abortions that occur.

? I'm confused. How can you agree with anything he says if you don't agree that homosexuality is a sin? See 1 Corinthians 6:9; Romans 1:26-27; and 1 Timothy 1:8-10.
