I think there is actually 3 Loyal Primarchs mentioned in that speech. "A shadow rises to the call of the Allfathers Messengers," In Norse mythology the Allfather, Odin, had Ravens who were his messengers, what is the Latin for Raven? Corvus! "a darkness that strikes from within." What is the current state of a certain Raven themed Primarch? a shadowy "demon" who can strike from within an enemies base of operations. Not to tread on anyone's tails, but what if GW threw Corax out there instead of Russ around the time of a Space Wolf refresh? Corax could be the "messenger" from Russ saying that he has completed his quest and is on the journey home, maybe with other forces in toe, just ask the King in Yellow.

Exept we know that as a primarch, even being 10,000 years old barely slows them down, thanks to the lion who aged with the passing of time, so i doubt he would be in any kind of dreadnaught situation. Not to mention, time flows far differently in the eye of terror, wich is why many of the chaos characters who were there during the heresy (typhus, ahriman, kharne, lucius and abbadon) have barely aged. Its unlikely that even a few hundred years have passed from their perspectives.

I've been predicting the Khan would be the next to return since Arks of Omen. The ongoing storyline right now seems to be revolving around the Webway - the Lion's 'forest walk' ability seems to be a special use of the Webway, Vashtorr's whole plan in AoO was to build a Webway tunnelling device, and then Wyrmwood showed up in Pariah Nexus, again using the Webway. The narrative keeps returning to the Webway - and who do we know who was last seen there??

Oh boy... in The Wolftime there is this short passage, where rumors are mentioned that the Lion and the Khan are active again (I think it was by Logan Grimnar). It came out before the AoO, the Lion was in fact back and since then, I'm waiting for the Khan to be announced. I didn't remember the passage, I listened to the audiobook on vacation in Spain in the summer of 2023 and only later realized that the book was older than Arks of Omen.

Also, while Corax is indeed mentioned in there, I think a lot of ppl mistake the bit about he who strikes from within to be Corax. Doesn't help that Njall pretty much mentions them right next to each other, causing folks to think he was still describing Corax with that. But I never saw it that way. Listen to the audiobook & you'll notice the slight break in between suggesting he referred to someone else. And that someone else even if Njall himself didn't know is Alpharius!

It makes me think that maybe the Khan went into the webway but ended up going through one of the tears in the webway that leads to the immaterium. Khan returning would be hype, especially if he unlocked his warp powers and it's something cool as (if we take the words literally) "a white storm upon a chariot of lightning". Think Thor arriving at Wakanda kind of entrance, zap everywhere, move at insane speed and white colored chain lightning.... i got carried away... Lorgar returning might be profitable, but also if Lorgar returns then they have to bring Corax as well and as much as i love the big raven man wreaking havoc in the warp - he's a little too overpowered for the current setting. Imagine the conversation: Lion: "I can forestwalk, it's pretty cool", Guilliman: "I wield the emperor's sword and can kill demons", Corvus: "I can turn into a giant unstoppable demon bird, disappear and reappear at will, turn into a puddle of pure darkness, single handedly shred through a legion of word bearers on my own and make Lorgar shit his pants on demand" If anything it'll most likely be Perty figuring out new demon engines and either working with Vashtorr or the more fun plot pretending to work with him, while undermining him and his relationship with Abaddon

Ok so you might be on to something, if the Space Marine character rumours are also true, as you mentioned a White Scar character on a bike and the bike image looks more Jet. But in the Imperium outside of the Custodes there is only 1 to exist, the one for the Grand Master of the Ravenwing. So the Khan returning on a bike works quite well. Also the short story contest has Commorragh as 1 of the locations people can choose. I feel it should be a switch each time between a codex compliant and non-codex one, though this would mean Rogal Dorn being the last being used by both Imperial Fist and Black Templar. Lorgar gets my vote for next Chaos Primarch, though story wise I do feel Perturabo makes more sense.

The khan coming back on a big bike (the Emperor's triumph) and rules that mean he doesn't necessarily need to lead white scars, but any space marines would be awesome. Also, the reveal should use music from The Hu because that would just slap.

Another potential surprise return could be Ferrus Manus? We need them to expand the lore on the last thunder warrior because it's believed he got a new body and learnt his gene craft from the EoM. Expanding this lore would open Ferrus to come back too.
