You mean the "Cold War" story expansion's very end? Yeah i remember the times, two biggest factions grinded their tech advancement to death in order to see who can go further than the Overworld. Some veteran players and game theorists did not even believed that they actually unlocked the Moon but rather it was an altered copy of the game for streaming. It's truly facinating how many things we can unlock in this game.
@hedgehog31806 жыл бұрын
The Moon dungeon wasn't the end of the "Cold War". It was just one of the main objectives given to the two factions to build up as many dominance points as possible. The story kept going for a long time after that. However the Moon dungeon did end the "Space Race" quest line in that story.

We'd been practicing on targets dozens of meters away for weeks, when we had the bright idea to try and hit a bird. I never _actually_ believed it'd work, but it only took about three tries from 30-50 meters away. Lucky head shot, maybe. The bird never heard a thing, saw a thing, or even realized it was being hunted. We put the bird in the freezer and asked my friend's mom to cook it, but she didn't, so we ended up burying it-we even held a small ceremony in its memory. I've never killed anything myself since then, but I'm well aware where the meat in my souvlaki comes from.

And the Karen build is the most weakest of homosapien. They have lower intelligence than a jellyfish and have the lowest chance of survival. That vegan teacher for example. Humans arent meta. They arent even OP. They basically all became admins at this point and this friggin shared wisdom trait is really, REALLY out of hand. At this point they are so OP they crack the source code WHILE PLAYING and modding themselves to get even stronger! If you play cheetah and think you maxed mobility, think again. If youre some kind of hippo player and think you maxed thoughness, think again. Humans literally refine the ground, something that never even was supposed to affect gameplay beyond the surface, and make tools out of that!
@rednidedni38757 жыл бұрын
Whats even worse, they are litterally depleting the whole planet in their search for resources to the point other top tiers are going to get bodied without the humans even wanting it. Humans can win any 1v1 easy, can make entire servers unplayable if they wanted to or werent just actively restraining themselves from it... them ever losing a battle is nearly unheard off, they even win against bacteria! THEY ARE BODYING UNHITTABLE BUILDS LEFT AND RIGHT! The only thing I can think of that can even stop humans are other humans with equally op builds. Either that or an admin / expansion comes along. Probably not even an expansion, the humans are going to fucking dictate what the expansions gonna be. The REAL Human stats: Intelligence: 200 (Computers) (Steadily increasing itself with this new "machine learning" trait they are giving their tools... bloody hell they are designing builds for the floor now) Power: 150 with few tools, 100000 with them all (Making many square miles a lethal radiation AoE? How you gonna build for that?) Defense: 100 with few tools, 1000 with them all (Armor so high you cant even damage them without human power tools) Mobility: 150 with few tools, 1000 with them all (Basically unlimited endurance at above cheetah speed...) Stealth: 50 with few tools, 90 with them all (Not that high, they cant mask their smell... yet) At this point humans arent the meta, they ARE the game. Wisdom trait cascading faster and faster.

Spooper well, it could have something to do with the human classes wanderlust buff that encouraged players to explore the world. I say this as a lot of the people who played the other hominid classes like Neanderthals tended to stay put and set up shop early. This limited access to resources and may have given them a de-buff to thier coping skill for when new threats were introduced in the form of earthquakes, volcanos, and migrating species.
@rednidedni38757 жыл бұрын
The wanderlust part is a small part of the humans curiosity trait. They are more likely to run into danger like that, but it also let the shared wisdom trait cascade even harder... Sorry if I'm rambling, I just can't get over the fact that no admins stepped in. I cant play anything else at this point if I want to survive, am stuck in easy mode and am afraid humans are literally going to shut the game down for good.

@incompetencelogistics89246 жыл бұрын
Oh boy, here we go. Here's a brief history of the humans' shenanigans. It took a really long time for them to reach this point. Everything changed, after thousands of painful years of tinkering. The farming skill was the kicker that set everything into motion. Once they did that, they could stop scavenging, and settle down and conserve energy. While this was great, this also meant they had to defend more aggressively. Other fast, strong or stealth builds could simply wander in and take their full. In the tier list, you saw the other primates stealing food from the human stockpiles. Using the intelligence stat to their greatest extent, they've devised artificial barriers now known commonly as the "Wall" or "Moat" items. Humans tended to live near each other for ease of resource transfer. This also led to "research," a free top-level skill only acquirable with a relatively high intelligence stat, and with a "society" trait evolved. Having "Language" evolved speeds up the research tasks by a factor of 100. With research, they devised a whole new class of weapons, the "Ranged Weapons." Currently, the only things available for everyone to boost your damage stat was evolving it, or if you didn't want to spend EP, find particularly sharp objects. This meant that humans were able to increase their damage stat to half the max. Furthering the research trees allowed them to trap other species, such as the horse, cow, and chickens, while befriending others, such as cats and dogs. Humans have now been able to delve deeply into the games coding to find stats and strats. Here we are today, where every human player needs only to work for 20 years to max his stats on the easy servers.

The biggest downside has to be that they have to spend most of there time underwater and don't live in packs making baby caring possibly harder. 6:50 tl;dr: He’s talking about humans as a *whole* Of course, when you account for pvp, most of us are lower-mid tier, and the best of us are billionaires like Jeff Bezos and other business tycoons that live in mansions filled with staff, but there ain’t no way most of these animals are winning against a human in a *car,* even with a grade schooler in the driver’s seat, especially when equipped with a powerful water gun, direct shots stagger greatly and leave a bruise at close range, shooting upwards does AOE decent stagger, and merely shooting the ground or some object right next to the target will stagger. Great against most birds (assuming they’re just standing around and not flying out of range) due to their hollow bone structure and with a strong enough attack it buffers their flight ability. Should still fluster ostriches and Emus greatly and good against penguins unless they’re diving underwater. Seconds as a club if animals get close. Not so great against Corvids as they learn and tend to take revenge by dive-bombing and then flying out of range/too fast to accurately target, even with the AOE, especially if they’re diving down/right at you. Wear a helmet with bird spikes to negate this, but expect to be pooped on more often by those birds. (But then said human would likely be detained for animal cruelty, which it is, but that hurting at all harkens back to us being lower-mid relative to other, wealthier and more powerful humans that can just use their money and influence to avoid any real consequences) Humans’ intrinsic ability to survive and adapt acknowledged!

@@bensoncheung2801 compared to all other animals present in the current meta, even the lowest quality of gameplay for the humans is orders of magnitude better than individual gameplays of other builds. Most herbivore builds that get hunted by predator mains, for example, die slow, agonizing deaths that most human mains lack the [imagination] stat to comprehend. I myself in my playthrough as a human main, have witnessed a bison immobilized by a tiger being left to die of starvation, while the tiger periodically comes to gorge on the bison (while it is online). When saying humans are the top tier build, we take into account the domination of the entire community that plays that build, not the quality of gameplay of individual players. @1SSJA6 жыл бұрын
Ben McClure No, humans were designed for creating custom perks, however human players in the beginning were still terrible at the game, the players that joined after it learned from each other with a new communication called language. It gave them versitility in communication as it would allow them to name literally everything and share literally everything. This allowed for builds that were unnatural. Builds that made the environment adapt to them, not them adapt to the environment. This was completely unheard of in earlier patches, and only few classes used that. Humans perfected that art, because they saw the potential in maxing out the 'creation' skill. Other players didn't see the potential that time because they didn't max out intelligence which didn't allow them to get creation, or it was too much of a hassle. But, the creation skill is exponentially more effective, it just has a slow start

You forgot the humans most powerful unlock ability. When Intelligence is maxed out you unlock the legendary ability "skill share" which lets humans, who would otherwise be a specialist build (making them less OP), easily multiclass in the mid-end game. Since the intelligence grows over time, and humans have the highest modifier this is allowed. This means a max level medic support can boost and powerlevel other humans to reach that level, allowing for them to, over time, become even better. This is how humans have been able to forge legendary grade loot allowing all those things. You also mentioned HP could not be increased, but their forged legendary-tier loot has allowed for "increased regeneration" allowing humans to survive diseases and even wounds from their own one-hit-KO super weapons. Levels in medicine has also allowed for "extended lifespan" perk, allowing some humans to live past 100. The meta purpose was for them to be able to skill-share for a longer time, but earth found this exploit (increasing game-time -> increases intelligence -> increases medicine -> increases game-time -> ...) to be a little to OP and nerfed this by capping the intelligence over game-time to a set time limit. Maybe this was overcorrected a little, since many end-game human players experience bugs in their systems and detriments to their stats they didn't expect when first starting.
@adrianarroyo9376 жыл бұрын
I've heard some humans are working on a new spell to delete the debuff "old", which would allow the exploit (game-time -> intelligence -> medicine -> game time -> everything). If they succeed, that could be the most OP spell ever

And let's not forget the biggest point in the room: the high intelligence stat allows for the single greatest skill in the game: True Crafting. Although some mains can use tools or farm, humans can actually combine tools and materials found in game and make them into superior items. This results in incredibly broken gameplay, as many human weapons can one shot even some of the strongest non human mains. And humans on mounts have been observed to glitch the game at certain speeds.

Speaking as an Osprey player myself, I know that non-human players could benefit from a video done specifically on them. I would also bet many human monies on the idea that humans would find a video on themselves extremely entertaining as your video style is top tier!

The human guild is quite dedicated and even organise their own community events, apparently they plan on taking one of the low res maps from out of draw distance and adding it to the game.
@MoffMuppet6 жыл бұрын
It should be noted that the human class has one big downside just from their mechanics. They have one of the slowest progressions in the entire game. It takes most humans over 10 years before they can start respawning, and even then they need another 10 years to reach their full build, which in total often accounts for at least 25% of their entire playtime. This is significantly lower than pretty much any other build, aside from many of the bigger flora builds. It can also be a bit complicated to play as a human, as they have a whole bunch of subclasses to choose from, such as "Programmer" or "Barista", and it can be difficult to tell which one will best fit your playstyle. This is not an in-game class feature however, but rather something that is enforced by the human guilds on their members.

Well, that's where the advanced Social Structure comes in. Pretty much nullifies the slow development.
@htoodoh57706 жыл бұрын
Alexander M I like how you make it like a game.
@rexmann19846 жыл бұрын
It has nullified the slow development but humans almost got wiped out in the beginning. When humans had only rocks and pointy sticks they weren't nearly as OP as they are now. The tech and wisdom trees are definitely the most OP trees to delve into but the cost is a very slow start with a minimal amount of players. Even with all their advantages many groups ended up quitting the game because the wisdom tree can be a double edged sword. If you get it wrong you could end up sacrificing other players just to ensure a good rainy season.
@MoffMuppet6 жыл бұрын
I dunno, I think advanced Social Structure isn't the only factor to human domination. There is also the unassuming Teaching skill. Yeah, I think the devs kind of messed up when they implemented the Teaching skill, which lets one player pass certain skills on to other players with little to no EXP-cost. Humans are far from the only players to utilize the Teaching skill, for example cats tend to use it in order to show new cat players how to gank mice and rats. And the core concept of it is well-intended, it makes it so that higher-level players can give skills to lower-level players to help them survive the early-game. The thing nobody accounted for is that the Teaching skill becomes more powerful the more Intelligence the player using it has combined with how much Intelligence the subject has. This means that when both of them reach a certain point in Intelligence the player using the skill can theoretically pass on ALL their skills to the new player. And you can learn skills from more than one player at a time, on top of whatever skills you may learn on your own. This, combined with the fact that high Intelligence lets you learn more skills overall means that humans can in theory just keep teaching each other different skills to utilize. I think the Teaching skill is supposed to be offset by the fact that it takes a long time to teach more advanced skills, but the devs kind of forgot one more thing they implemented: low-level players have a bonus that makes it far easier for them to learn new skills than higher-levelled players. And for humans, whose low-level progression takes several years, this bonus is in play for far longer than normal. It means that IF they can survive the early-game they can in theory have accumulated more skills than any other class. This skill, combined with the Social Structure which helps negate several of the drawbacks of a long early-game, is what I think has truly allowed humans to dominate.

@@kousand9917 Our social structures' relative complexity isn't really what's being commented on, though. While we're both examples of highly complex and effective structures, the insects have us beat owing to factors like effective use of their collective biomass, not leaving perfectly functional worker drones to starve or otherwise die to the elements and wasting productive capacity, an effectively bottom-up organizing approach rather than the human tendency to organize all projects from the top down, often ultimately sacrificing quality for the benefit of the organizers, as well as a level of literal selflessness and dedication to the collective that frankly humans seem biologically incapable of replicating. The damn things don't even have laws or law enforcement because their only threats come from the outside. We can hardly say the same.

Reasons why humans are so OP 1. Ability to boost nearly every stat to max. 2. Ridiculous stamina regeneration. 3. Ability to tame other players 4. Highest intelligence ever 5. High social structure Negatives: 1. Low *natural* defense To add to all this: the most effective mounts are by far the Sr-71 Blackbird for aerial. m1a2 Abrams for land. USS Gerald R. Ford for water. USS Alaska for underwater. Most effective weapon that is reasonably lightweight for humans to carry: (this obviosly excludes nukes, missiles, etc.) RK95 because it uses 7.62 ammunition which has high energy and it is also very reliable. Throw sand in, it works. Sink it in mud, works. A reasonable alternative would be the SAKO TRG 42 to kill larger players like elephants. Best armor (apart from mounts) Ballistic vest Knee pads Elbow pads Ballistic helmet and never forget regular clothes underneath and throw some ghillie on top and boom, practically immune to most guns.

Negative list continued 3. Bad social grouping 4. Occasional mental instability Both of these cons lead to the human class preying upon their own and possibly every other class in the meta for no reasonable explanation, with no sign of change coming soon. Going too far into the Religion or Science tree will inevitably cause the class to nerf itself.

As was already mentioned, the mental illness debuff is a major issue with humans and arguably makes it a low tier option. No other guild uses the suicide ability more than humans. If human mains were satisfied with their "top tier" characters, why quit and restart? Some players just quit and just uninstall the game.
