Based on the novel by Muriel Spark and directed by Ronald Neame in (1969). O memories its years since i seen this film i loved Maggie Smith in this film and the song absoluety beautiful love that Scottish sound with an old irish sound mixed together. Films of that time were well done .O to be young again going to the movies i miss that pity 😪.❤

this was my dad’s favorite song. he is gone now & i miss him so much. i remember when i was young he used to sit quietly listening to this song & my brothers & i would all listen to it with him. this brings me back to those days gone. a wonderful song & a wonderful memory.

Such a beautiful film so well done ! It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized its theme the sometimes tragic difference between style and substance , sense and sensibility . What hits me now like a hammer in the head is many of us never realize the difference and lose our lives living in the fractured misguidance of an attractive stylish surface . One wants to believe in the Miss Brodies of our world and she has her mind and she has decided but each of us is limited . Influence and education are really everything and what does it mean that many of us never recover from our upbringing . Knowing Better could be a new novel based on this with young black children . Ghastly extremes this idea could be pushed to as we see everyday in our lives and on the nightly news !

I always knew the part starting at 9:00 as part of the score of Jackie Chan's signature movie, the original Drunken Master..as his training montage music... Just recently found out that it was stolen from this film!! 😆😆

Sadiq Malik It's about a middle-aged female teacher at a conservative girls' school in Scotland (about 1930?) who indoctrinates her students with assorted ideas and ideals, many of them contradictory and many of them inappropriate for the age of her students. She has two affairs with two male teachers at the school, but won't marry because she says she is devoted to "her girls." It is about her influence over her students, and the damage that she does. Also, it's about her own delusion, not being aware that she can indeed be fired and that she will grow old and might find herself lost and alone. Her ego is so inflated, however, that she doesn't even realize this when the movie ends. We can only guess what the rest of her life will be like. Central idea is the fallibility of a powerful yet delusional human ego.
