Here’s the thing about 2D animation I love that 3D doesn’t have, everything in 2D animation is hand drawn and will have to be done manually and every stroke of their drawing tool has so much life and emotion in it. And that’s even with the incomplete work. Compared to incomplete 3D animation you just don’t get the same feeling of hard work and effort that goes into all the details of 2D work.

A well done 3d movie can have every bit as much emotion and life as a great 2d hand drawn movie, but the market is inundated with TV shows and movies that are done in 3d (or with 2d rigged puppets) because it’s cheaper and faster than hand drawn. That said, I will always prefer hand drawn.
