These period dramas are the only ones where I give the FL a pass due to it was incredibly difficult if not impossible for them to live a good life after living with a man for so long-- their reputations easily were tied to their livelihoods and their lives. Plus the FL in the above drama did an amazing job on making sure she didn't repeat the same mistakes of being a doormat and having a love brain for someone who did not feel the same initially. So with that being typed, if she could forgive and the man truly change-- that's a good enough thing to be able to move forward. Modern times I 1000% do not think it anywhere near wise to stay with a man that has hurt her even in a past life/ different timeline, when there's nothing holding a woman back from not only moving on but starting a new life!
