Hi, this is a very good video, Romans 6:12-23 is in agreement with how you have explained yielding to the will of God. I must admit self control can trip me up when I allow something that is said when it comes out of nowhere, I heard a man say something about the grace of God and it really got to me, I had not heard anyone call it greasy before.

Hey, I have a genuine question about 1 Cor. 15:2 when it talks about being saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you. I believe you’re saved in a moment and I’m trying to work through this verse. Can you provide some insight into this?

@@BibleLine Hey, I watched that video. I don’t have trouble with the “believed in vain” part. It’s the part before saying to basically “hold the firmly to the word I preached”. That part wasn’t touched on ““by which you also are saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.” ‭‭

@ChristopherDoyle-qu6br Ah I see. The reference Paul is making is to their knowledge of the resurrection. Read the next 20 verses. If Christ is not raised (which they should have in their memory, cuz Paul preached the resurrection), then their faith is in vain (meaningless). It isn’t the fact that they remember the resurrection that they are saved. It is the fact that Jesus DID rise that they are able to have believed in Him to be saved. Paul is literally having to remind the Corinthians of this event. - Trent
