Not one, one Protestant has been able to provide biblical support for sola scriptura ie its authority. SCOTUS is necessary to interpret the Constitution, without which, we have the confusion, division & scandal of 000’s of sects which is not of Jesus who willed unity Jn 17:17-23

SCOTUS must vote in order uphold the law based on personal opinion but not without dissenting opinion, that cannot be applied with Scriptures because the Scriptures is perfect ex. when it say: thou shalt not make for yourself any graven images and do bow down to them and serve them... is there another interpretation on that?

@ Our 1st commandment prohibits having graven images or bowing down to false gods, so we agree on that! Humanity being what it is, will never agree 100%, even Paul correctly challenged Peter. When Church councils meet to discuss issues, there are often disagreements, but at the end of the day, when a Pope infallibly proclaims a dogma or doctrine, that is it, he speaks on behalf of Jesus who is the head of His One True Church. The claim of infallibility is rare & under specific conditions so is not commonly used ie Francis has yet to make an infallible proclamation. The issue boils down to authority which the Pope has Mt 16:18-19 but does not exist within Protestantism, hence the confusion, division & scandal of 000’s of sects which is not of Jesus who willed unity Jn 17:11-23

@@geoffjs Acts 15 doesn't have a Pope besides there was no challenged about the Scriptures but only traditional beliefs of the Jews, but the Apostles just uphold the Scriptures.

@@Eleazar-v6t I note your lack of response to my query about biblical support for SS!

@@geoffjs why do you need Scripture support, it is hard for to understand? the Scriptures itself is the proof. if you cannot understand because Apostle Paul said: man without the Spirit cannot understand the things of the Spirit!
