If I can't put a full swing on a wedge I revert to my safety play of 6 iron bump n run! I'm way more consistent with it around the greens
@wholemilkredcap21 күн бұрын
think of using your wedge like a putter. not the grip and all that but the 'swing'. just make it your putter stroke. you would be amazed how easy it will be for you and a step closer to learning the feel for finesse.

@nuthintoprove17 күн бұрын
I played every Friday with a plus 2 and a plus 5, me being a 3 handicap. It sucks the testosterone out of you, you just can't win. To the average golfer a 3 handicap is decent but in the world of golf it's crap. Good thing I was a Doctor.
@TheDetective-dg4vjАй бұрын
You guys played great. Entertaining to watch and you and Will were bombing it. What is very telling is on the 9th hole with you on the green for eagle,Will behind a tree with no shot except for a chip out... SUDDENLY, after playing for eight holes, he now wants to know if you're playing it as it lies!! Haha. That tells me a world about him,his mindset and why no one knows his name... I promise you,Q school will be a very disappointing venture... You guys, on the other hand, are on the rise every time I see a video! Keep it going ..
@divotdudesАй бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it man! Also just to clear it up, Will was already about to play that ball off the rocks without asking, then Conner and Adam stopped him and told him to move it. He still tried to play it as it lies but We didn’t want him messing up his clubs for a KZbin match knowing he had Q school in a couple weeks. Will was the #1 golfer out of HS and tore his ACL freshman year. He’s just gotten back into tournament play and has been playing lights out!
@TheDetective-dg4vjАй бұрын
Will absolutely bombs it and hits it very straight for someone with his length.. The fact that he missed the first green by 5 yds from 80 yards is a Tell-Tale sign of nerves!! Also, if you listen to a couple of pitches,he mishit them. Being that he hit it so it so well on a few occasions,that again tells me nerves rather than skill is the culprit. I'm a golf professional who has played in many tournament qualifiers and have beaten PGA Tour winners for money in tournaments and head to head. I was even lucky enough to play with a Masters Champion. I traveled the PGA Tour selling clubs and know many Tour Stars.. Nothing is more nerve-wracking than Q School. Also, there is no harder place to chip than in Ponte Vedra! Or basically anywhere in Florida. The Bermuda is just air-filled and hard to judge.. Playing at Doral, in if you missed the Fairway with your drive you would just walk directly to your bag and pull out your sand wedge cuz that's all you are going to be able to use to advance the ball! The ball either sinks to the bottom and is buried or is sitting on a cushion so you can go right underneath it... I would suggest he goes there very early and spends his entire time with his short game. It won't be his skill level that will let him down as much as his nerves from not being in the situation enough. I too was a long straight driver, (124 Club head speed) but my short game let me down often! I was a quadriplegic from a car accident for 2 years and unfortunately have six broken vertebrae... I am completely recovered and have lost 60 yards of distance. Amazingly because I cannot make such an aggressive backswing anymore my short game is absolutely stellar. I still can play golf under par on a good day and shot 30 the other day with a three-putt and a missed 3-footer for nine holes!! Golf is a crazy game that mimics life like no other sport and I have played them all. If you guys ever come to Vegas please get back to me. I would like to meet you guys and have a drink I can hook you up everywhere and get you freebie golf. Keep doing what you're doing cuz you do it well.
