Behringer ❤. As a noob synthesist, I love what my two Behringer Wasps given me so far. Yeah the knobs are bad. I changed some of them with nice golden chicken head knobs; just like what your friend Echo Kraft did. In the end, I am a happy person and my wife is not too angry at me yet. Win win situation.

@@synthsamuraiproductions Yes 2. I was initially trying to do duophonic arrangement with them with the polychaining. But now I will keep them hooked as one Monolith Phat 4 oscillators monosynth (thr first one of them has filter fully open and the Hold switch is on, then the output goes into the Ext input of the second Wasp: that way all 4 oscillators can have their sounds altered by the last one filter). I dont know, am just trying stuff.

Paying US wages and getting inconsistent/sketchy assembly & QA results is a BIG part of what lead to the inMusic acquisition. Sequential does not have that problem and the Focusrite acquisition is a different animal IMHO. (NOTE - Take 5 and TEO 5 are 100% Chinese to hit that price) It is popular on many synths to make only the parts one can see and touch a step up in quality. Would I prefer nicer knobs, switches, pitch/mod, and keybed on my Behringer MonoPoly? As strictly a hobbyist paying more for no difference in workflow and sound is a tough question and I do not know the answer. It does not matter because they absolutely are NOT going to change the way they build kit.

But I'm very covered on that department with Push3.

In my opinion, Sequential has better build quality because they use Fatar keybeds. Arturia have good build quality but their keybeds don’t feel as solid as Fatar keybeds. Behringer build quality has improved but is not on par with Arturia IMO. The UBXa knobs feel kinda cheap, it’s not terrible but it doesn’t feel as solid as a Sequential synth. Then the keybed of the UBXa, despite the fact that it had polyphonic aftertouch, it feels cheap.

Behringers clones will never 100% match the originals. Still good that they exist though. Cheap tools to get your music making fix on! Absolutely love my Behringer Solina and my crappy 4 channel Behringer mixer comes in handy time after time. Meanwhile my stupid expensive eurocrack system with no Behringer modules also gets much love. China cloning shit is totally normal for them. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it and keep it moving.

@@synthsamuraiproductions I know it is not what you really want, but I will provide not 1, but 2 long-winded responses. For modular in 5U Macbeth was the platinum standard. Synth-Werk and MOS-LAB are as premium as Moog for significantly less. In Eurorack Cwejman was the platinum standard. Paul Schreiber packed it in last year; premium grade. L-1 is built by a single Russian dude; insane quality. Instruo and Joranalogue are among the top quality in Eurorack today. OK, second response inbound for "normal people" (not modular) synths.
