As someone who used to hate Jotunn, it’s a real hit or miss, and depends on server latency. Sometimes you’re shooting D1 truth rockets, and other times your shooting toothpicks with no tracking.

Toaster is only annoying the first time it kills you. Once you know it’s coming it’s not anywhere as hard to play against as other more off meta loadouts, which is the reason you see it so little in endgame PvE

Jotunn is 50/50, you either land total bs or it's jank af and doesn't work. The tracking is hot garbage at close range and performs great at range. So yes, it is kind of bs but this feels more like "the next thing to complain about" than something that is truly broken and needs fixing. Jotunn is something you have to learn counterplay to, it's not something you learn how to fight in a day. No one is wrong for saying jotunn is janky on a genetic level but I don't think it's as bad as it's made out to be

Jotuun isn't even that bad tbh. Unless someone catches you off guard, chances are you're going to be able to dodge it or get behind a wall. It Isn't Shatterdive or release DMT where it would just give you free kills. Changing anything with Jotuun (a weapon that hardly sees play compared to a lot of other exotic weapons) would undoubtedly ruin it in PvP. Without tracking, you have a weapon that does nothing. It's a single projectile with a tiny explosion radius. GL's don't have that problem because you can bank them around walls and they also have a much bigger radius.

Jotuun was FAR from a problem compared to issues at the time. Jotuun's tracking was and is probably the only thing making it playable, and I can't tell you how easy it was to bait out shots compared to other fusions. Jotuun can straight up Wiff entirely just by standing next to a wall.

It's extremely avoidable. Honestly it takes skill now to be decent with jotuun. And you'll lose every time against a good sniper because you still have to charge. HOWEVER, I only use jotuun when Iron Banner is around (with the sunspot Titan boots) because I hate Control Iron Banner and if I gotta suffer playing that bs to get IB guns I want everyone else to lol. I play on console, ps4 specifically and I get tons of jotunns honestly. Sometimes my team and I stomp the other team and they pull Jotunn out mid game too. Maybe for pc it is rare but on console it isn't, from my point of view of course

As much as this gun bothers you with the lack of "skill" required to use it, the same can be said about a multitude of other weapons in the game. Jotunn is the easiest weapon in the game to counter. Literally two steps to either side, or if you play on mouse and key just slide and you're out of the way. Once it's tracking path is set it doesn't adjust.

I think it'd be fun if the toaster had guided projectiles instead of tracking projectiles. Adds a bit of an element of skill and is slightly risky (Since you have to either guess where the enemies are or remain in view to guide it) but it would be hella fun to just curve shit around the corners and accidentally bomp someone

Its alright. I personally dont have a problem with it. DMT needs a fix but jotunn is way better than it was. The up close tracking is ass and you have to lead your shots the medium to long tracking is kinda crazy but its easy to dodge if you see it coming. If you didn't see it coming you probably would have been sniped if they were running a sniper. Dont get me wrong its annoying but I dont think its super broken.

My experience with Jotunn in a firefight is like petting a stray cat. It'll either have tracking literally better than Truth and be your best friend, or decide it hates your guts and not track at all.

I think your missing the point. The toaster is a one hit kill at any range with tracking so you can be sliding, jumping, doing 360's on the spot and still get a kill. You cant do that with a Sniper

​@@JJennerUK any good sniper (not me) can get sliding shots and jump shots. 360's arn't to difficult to be more consistant at if your good enough and altho no scopes are somewhat RNG dependant, they're not that hard to get because of the small bullet deviation, hell its easier to do it while they're doing the first 2 with the right mods, might not be as often as the toaster but even then that 1 second charge time is kinda hard to time in close quarters if theres little cover or the opponent is super aggresive and long ranges anyone can dodge it reliably as long as your not stiff as a board and running out in the middle of the open (your just asking to get sniped at that point) and saying that you cant get a certain kill with snipers is stupid, do remember that snipers are essentially a point and click adventure game and people love to abuse the snipers in Ranked/trials/Iron Banner

If you’re consistently dying to Jotunn, then that’s just a skill issue, unironically. It’s incredibly easy to bait the tracking by strafing around corners or just jumping or bait shots from the person using it, since odds are they either aren’t that good or aren’t taking the game all that seriously.
