So, looking at the back of the figure at the 5:47 mark, It's my guess that they intended for the short sword to go on the left and the crowbar on the right. Notice how different the hole sculpts are? One is a thin rectangle, the other is more square. That's just the way I kinda see it in my "sculpters mind". 🤷‍♂️

So you know how the art used for the card/box has it look like it's Jason holding two swords? Yeah turns out it was actually the crowbar since it was the cover of the Gotham War event from last year ish. Plus to give a quick up to speed on Jason in the past few years, he did use guns for a little but while wearing this outfit then apparently switched to non lethal bullets to just dropping guns altogether. And then there was the time he lead a zombified Suicide Squad(Task Force Z) when he wore more body armor and his classic helmet with two crowbars which he could electrify. Then he switched back to this outfit ever since.

I think the hip piece is reuse from the Arkham Red Hood, as for this specific Jason. He does use the crowbar! It's him "overcoming" his trauma with it, and I believe both weapons should be able to store on the back, at least from photos I've seen

I'd say, 2 for playability is a bit harsh.. The sheaths are designated, with the left for the shoto and the right for the crowbar... and yes, he actually use shoto-crowbar combo instead of twin swords. As far as I can remember, he never even wield twin swords in the comics... Maybe in the inevitable reissue of this they'd give him a twin shoto (and hopefully, a drop down hood and a Jason head with that luscious, white-streaked hair)

All is not lost for the playability people! The modern red hood design is meant for him to have a crowbar on his back, and I can confirm that the back piece does hold it in place--albeit a little loosely. I tried it out with my figure and I think it looks pretty good!

IIRC the legs are in fact, reuse. Specifically from McFarlanes My Hero Academia figures. Dunno which one, just remember seeing a comment about it.

As far as I know, he definitely doesn't reuse any parts from the MHA line. The closest resemblance I can see is the wave 1 Bakugou legs, but there's a good few differences there.

6:07 See this is a little frustrating. Because it IS accurate to the comic that its adapting the look from. I understand wanting to have the symmetry of twin katanas, but that would have been inaccurate to the character. This complaint could have been fixed by simply switching the sword to the left holster so the crowbar could fit in the right. I really enjoy your videos, and i understand you're not a comic reader, but you do talk about on your channel how important it is that these figures properly adapt the source material and to see this figure get dinged for doing just that is really unfortunate. Just my two cents, still love the channel.

I like the idea of how they're evolving his character and letting him try new things and find his way. So narratively I really like what they're doing with this. From an action figure perspective though, I'd love it if McFarlane could give us a solid first appearance "Under the Hood" version of him as well.

I really don’t like this figure. The designs are all over the place and in the wrong places. The arms painted flesh tones on fabric textures really was a huge mistake.
