I think we we're all looking forward to the villian arc, even if alot of it was fucked up and they screwed over spinner (one of my favorite characters). I still loved sad man's parade, I think the music really helped.

Yeah at least Twice was done well. But poor Spinner, but I'm also glad so many people felt he was done dirty. It shows to me a lot of people get him as a character, and don't see him as a bit part.

I absolutely feel the same, I bought just the villain arc mangas because I absolutely loved that part. The total tone change background etc etc. Also really hyped myself up for the intro. And then we got this. I skipped the whole season. Let’s hope war arc gets a good adaptation and great characters like mirko actually get a chance to shine

My Hero Academia Season 5 was great. That is up until after the Endeavor Agency Arc. The Joint Training Arc was good. Bones adapted those chapters extremely well. However, like most Manga readers, I felt like those episodes of JTA could have lasted for maybe 5 or 6 episodes. Especially considering it wasn't that good anyway, even anime only watchers were getting pretty tired of it after episode 5. But none the less, Bones really wanted to stay that faithful to the Manga, no matter how much we felt. Which okay! That's cool. It shows how much love they have for the series. They want to adapt as much as they can. Okay. Then we (Manga readers) found out about them switching the Endeavor Agency Arc & My Villain Academia arcs around. And that already sounded like a disaster. For one thing, you're ruining the pacing of the Manga. For example, in the Endeavor Agency Arc, you're spoiling the out come to what's to happen in the finale of My Villain Academia. Like seeing the League of Villains teaming up with the Liberation Army. And Toga saying things like, "Tomura's new powers" and such. Other things like Hawks trying to warn Endeavor about the war to start by the Paranormal Liberation Front. All these things already being explained in My Villain Academia. And then as soon as the MVA starts, the anime only watches have no reason to be in suspense over anything, because you already gave away what's to come after showing them the Endeavor Agency Arc first. But look, other than that, the Endeavor Agency Arc was very well adapted. And Bones once again, did do a good job adapting the Manga pages into the anime. And then we have My Villain Academia. In season 5, out of ALL the chapters that HAD to be adapted well! PERFECTLY! They just had to ruin it with MVA. MVA was ruined because of TWO filler episodes, one filler episode just to promote a movie! (THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING!) One episode that just had Endeavor having flashbacks to previous episodes and of course, that (always) first filler episode of every season. Jesus. Remember when I said "It shows how much love they have for the series. They want to adapt as much as they can." Well, it looks like they lost that love as soon as they started MVA. I won't rant on this forever but you know. Too many cuts, cutting important character developments, squeezing and rushing 20 plus chapters in only 5 episodes! This was awful! My Villain Academia's adaptation as a whole, it's was passable. It wasn't a complete disaster. But JESUS CHRIST! IT COULD HAVE BEEN WAY BETTER! AND I MEAN! WAAAAAAY BETTER!

Yeah I agree with everything you said .It seems like movie 3 is not going to fuck with Canon material. Even though Bones said Movie doesn't affect Anime .Dip is quite significant. I am really skeptical about next season as it will be quite hard to animate.

I heard Japanese audiences didn't like MVA that much and that's why they didn't want to focus on it too much in the anime. At the end of the day, Japanese fans are the core audience they are going to cater to first.

Literally everyone was hyping up MVA to be one of the best arcs that’s going to come out of the anime. So having it all amount to a “meh” was incredibly underwhelming. And taking into consideration how spotty the anime’s quality has been since season 4. I really have no interest in watching season 6. Since it’s a literal coin flip on whether or not the future good parts are actually going to be done well. Also Shigi VS Redestro was the most boring final fight of the series to date. I didn’t know you could make the destruction of an entire city look lame, but they somehow managed it.

Mmm, I don't know how I feel about the implication of Shigaraki having come into contact with All for One before the tragedy. I much prefer to see the Decay Quirk as a product of the dreaded Quirk Singularity theory, a mix of Quirks that, much like Toga's, creates something unstable and dangerous. So All for One picking up Shigaraki afterwards is just more fuel to the "new, more powerful generations aren't raised to be good people" that was hinted at from the kindergarten training arc.

I didn’t like season 5. I thought they would have for sure fixed a lot of the story flow issues they had in season 4. I felt a little excited for the villain arc, but in all the whole time I was waiting for each episode to end, because I was just so bored of every little thing that kept popping up. They couldn’t just focus on one thing and avoid having fillers. At this point I’m just watching it, because I already invested time into watching the other seasons. Also hoping they get their heads out of their asses for the next season, and actually put out a good quality season.

I was so upset that not only was the villains arc pushed back, but was severely cut down. It was all I was looking forward to in season 5. The only part I loved of Heroes Rising was the scenes with Dabi and the rest of the league. And I enjoyed World Heroes fine, but it was stupid that the outfits heavily advertised was only in the first like 5 min and I refuse to call these movies canon. I don't care if they are.

Anime only here, the suggestion of adapting the endeavor agency arc for a hypothetical industrytrend replacement movie is kinda weird, especially given the subject of the video, considering at that point why not suggest having the MVA arc itself be the movie? Not only is there probably enough material but it's very much explosive, immediately interesting, unique, relatively isolated, and consequential enough to both justify the decision and take full advantage of the bump in production quality. Could you imagine the hype people would have building towards & after release in this timeline?

If you wanna do it, here's the best way: Anime: Chapter 2 - 12 Manga: Chapter 218 - 240 And then just keep whatching the anime (or skip chapters 16 and 20 - 24 if you want to skip the filler and the bad verson of MVA)

The movie is being more bold with the marvel references though. That one scene in the trailer with Deku swinging around like a green haired Tom Holland Spiderman. My 👀 were 😱. Also I did finish the video and enjoyed it.
