one of the best example of development in the area of self-driving cars is by Swaayatt Robotics by Sanjeev Sharma. I believe our government should cater to all the sections of society, protect the drivers job but also foster the technological advancements happening within the country as well.

This is the reason i went into testing and automation. Cuz i was too avg in coding. I know coding bt not like a talented coder. In testing there are actually 10-12 different types excpet manual testing. So in testing also there is huge career. And now in AI also there will be a different field of testing. So guyz in s/w engineering do career in thise fields where u can do better

Good point about govt protecting driver jobs but not software jobs. However, AI replacing a software developer will not as big of a life threat (due to a bug) as driverless cars.

There are no only internal jobs! Every job had secondary global exposure, AI make things efficient/cheaper/economical, so if we refuse to use AI in driving, manufacturing will be inefficient and can’t compete against other countries that use! AI is inevitable, any country which has these arbitrary bans will have thread line sooner or later! Genies out of the box. (e/acc)

2:00 it is cheaper to have maids in India because of the density, close proximity of houses, and the communal nature of society imo. A maid doesn't work for just one family, he/she works for multiple homes in the same area. So, although the income may not seem substantial per household, they make a decent amount overall. I am not getting into how much is a fair salary, I am just trying to analyse the way maids operate in the east vs west.

Honestly, I am yet another Frontend developer and watching this I really need to think of something else ! But being a college student, it is really difficult to become master of one niche field. We are taught so many things (mostly outdated), that makes it difficult to stick to one particular thing. So, college life is all about being Jack of all trade, Master of Some ! Insightful video btw, 👍 I want such people around me who speak and think like this.

@Varun and team, I must congratulate you on your meaningful evolution in the content space over the past 8 months to a year. Honestly, I wasn't a fan of the content about a year ago but can't say the same now. I think the content does two difficult things well (together) - dumb down the overall state of tech union combined with its relevance in the Indian context (and of course, presented with professional production quality). I think this theme should be very helpful to the very large (and young) tech ecosystem in India. Looking forward to more. I also agree with some of the comments - your monologues are good, and I probably prefer them to most of the 'dialogues' :).
@VarunMayya10 ай бұрын
thanks - I also had to practice a bit and get some reps in to make it useful and simplified to a larger audience. Sometimes we forget that most people want simple but smart people want depth. Doing both was a challenge but I think I’ve figured out a rythm

I think the only reason software devs still have not lost their jobs to chatgpt is because it lacks your project's context. The day chatgpt is embedded in your IDE, the product manager can just prompt it to make a change and it will do it. Also, the fact that sometimes chatgpt gives an incorrect answer and if you ask it again it's able to correct itself says that its capable of debugging as well and it's only going to get better. Software enginners! be careful before making long term commitments like taking a home loan because there are dark cloud looming at the horizon

"But Varun, protecting people's jobs is important. Think about it: you want to support a family, and you might be the sole earner. How would you manage if AI takes away your job or affects your company? Having a good amount of passive income or assets could help, but for those in the lower class, the impact could be devastating. It might push people towards criminal activities just for the sake of survival."
