@@TheSecretMindset what about the hedging ? - my method, for example you buy gold at 1900 with take profit at 1930 but it goes lower at 1880, you place another buy with take profit at 1930 and a pending sell with the cumulative two buys, for example 1+1 lots = 2 lots at the pending sell order but always at close entry so that you are not hooked up, if it gets lower and you have a substantial profit from the sell, at least 50% of the other buys, you take the profit and place another buy, now you have to place another pending sell x3 lots lots to be sure, same as before with automatic close entry

Custom indicators can help to see a trend early (eg MACD 0 lag). For me it is just a FIRST indication. EMA, VWAP, Support/residence has to me right. It is important to have their eyes early on the chart to be ready to jump in.

The best strategy to scalp, for me, is SnR in a SnD zone. The first touch to an SnR in a fresh SnD zone is gold, especially when the price moved away from that zone dramatically in the past, the very next first touch of the price is almost guaranteed a reversal.

TA is indeed subjective, which means it is impossible to directly verify its validity. But it is possible to verify its assumptions, and by extension either reject or fail to reject the idea itself. I used to successfully trade using TA. Then I developed a way to randomly generate synthetic price and volume data (with similar statistical properties to real price and volume, so no, not a simple geometric brownian motion model). I then tested my working strategies on this synthetic data and got the same kind of results as I did with real market data. This is strong evidence that TA works the same on randomly generated data as it does on real market data, and by extension, this is evidence that the main assumption of TA (that patterns are caused by the collective psychology of traders, and that there therefore is meaning behind these patterns), is very unlikely. Since the evidence points to this assumption not holding, it is safe to reject TA as a valid form of time series analysis, as this assumption must hold for TA to make any sense to begin with. The truth is that there are too many variables in the markets to predict price in this way (you are even hinting at this in the video itself), and, given a large enough sample size, there is yet to be a TA strategy whose predictive power beats that of a coin toss by a statistically significant amount. You are absolutely free to believe whatever you want to believe, but presenting the content of this video as facts without backing anything up with valid evidence means you lose all credibility, and when shared as such, this can be harmful to the people who watch the video, even if your original intentions were good.

TA is only really useful in very small time frames and on stocks with significant retail interest and high relative volume. The issue is people look at TA and then go and try to backtest it on some blue chip which follows the indexes and is overwhelmingly influenced intraday by high frequency algorithmic trading. TA as a proxy for mass psychology is valid with smaller cap stocks recieving significant relative volume by retail investors. If 40% of the retail market is trading the same stock at the opening bell and they are responsible for 90% of the volume in the opening hours (a large majority of whom are using TA and indicators to guide their decisions) then TA can be predictive, and is therefore useful

Indicators are indicating after the fact so buying and selling on an indicator is not a value for success. They are just there to help analyze trends. I strictly use a RSI because RSi can help u analyze a trend and it’s strength of a given move however I don’t trade with it as I just use it to gauge moves and there strengths.

It only works if everyone thinks the same way. If we were all taught to go during green lights and stop during reds, then we can predict what we will all do. But since everyone learns trading differently all these chart patterns might as well be lines on your palm.

Great video. I only take indicators from 30min charts or above. a double top on a 1 hour chart is great but it's about your own greed. Don't assume it will go 20% just because a similar double top did it a week earlier. set your own target and get out when it hits. Don't give in to FOMO

i am quite bad in acting on price action, i can not stay disciplined enough, thats why some technical indicators help calm me down and help discipline me if i just stick to certain things and combine them in a meaningful way. i always take the indicators i use with a grain of salt but even if they 'work' only 60% of the time, thats still good enough for me when i keep the losses from the 40% failing trades smaller than the gains. the hardest part about trading is not to find something that works for you, i am pretty sure every trader who sticks with trading for at least 2 years will come to the point where making profit is not a problem. but being consistent, being disciplined about it and being patient is a never ending learning process. you can have a perfectly working blueprint. but if you are not able to stick to it because of your emotions then its no good.
