The whole point of the joke was that most content creators make builds with way to much effort to push dmg against enemy lvls so high that are completely unnecessary for an average player, and end up making the builds niche and unnecessarily expensive, thus making the video redundant.

tbf, that isn't creator exclusive (me, looking at a dude on the reddit literally customizing a spreadsheet trying to make Melee duplicate somehow better then just red critting with a heavy attack) (the answer was apparently slash procs.... those things that are totally irrelevant if you have one of the 893 armour strips, and even without, not terribly necessary and kind of slow even at the upper SP when you stay in regular rotations)

These videos are too good. A lot of newer players don't realize that once you make that one build that does everything in the game. That's it, you beat the game. The game sort of becomes a sandbox for fun builds that destroy everything. However there's youtube channels solely dedicated for the new players like LeyzarGamingViews. I could be wrong but I don't think warframe gets tons of new players, and the majority of the player base is all late to mid game. It's partly due to how bad the new player experience is in warframe, but if you hand in there. You will be reward with a huge time sink and amazing game lol

I do feel like it is kind of the opposite. Warframe, from update perspective (all new player additions, shortcuts, powercreep etc.) and marketing is all catered to just get in new players to make em buy plat and packs and then ditch the game, after realizing it IS a sandbox and just a pokedex completion game with nothing to "beat" really. All weekly high reward activities are silly pushovers, just to collect things and move on. On the other hand, veteran players are still waiting for compelling repeatable AND rewarding content 10 years later. We still have to play shitty old game modes to crack relics and the "fastest" way to do them is to just spam the lowest time to complete and lowest difficulty mode there is. Fissures need to be incorporated into new game modes and new content ASAP. I want to run Void Cascade fissures, doubling down on the hardest and most rewarding game mode they have ever released (spoiler: it's the only one they managed in 10 years of development). Fissures should be playable for ALL game modes and nodes. I don't get, why this is not a thing. Relics are rotting in my inventory or I sell them in bulks, because opening them is the most dumbest and unfun experiences in the game, because of this lack of game mode variety. Kind of connecting to this, is the worst change, they have EVER made to veteran players trying to sink more hours into the game: Capping the Teshin shop. Like, I remember this so vividly, that was the point of time in the game, where 80% of my friend list vanished forever in the game and I experienced the first clan breakup in this game. Taking away the last profitable and "meaningful" endless grind was the biggest slap in the face to veteran players and players wanting to sink time in this game. After you completed your "pokedex" the game really is over. The only fun game mode for challenging yourself still is void cascade and the new update couldn't follow up in the slightest to that "endgame" success with Alchemy being total trash with horrible reward structure and is a prime example, why new game modes like this need to have fissure modes available. I do give them one plus though with the latest update: Getting their and the community's toes wet with introduction of super bosses and trying to design them "uncheesable" by the cancer of current sandbox: revenant and invisibility. This is definitely one of the paths they need to keep treading going forward.

It is more liking that newer players will buy packs because they get frustrated, so I can see why they would push packs and updates towards that demographic. On the other hand warframe has always struggled with compelling endgame content, that is no secret. I am pretty sure they will never add a tradition end game. If that's what you are looking for in warframe, it's probably just not the game for you.

@@aersla1731 Yea, I mean, I have come to terms with the game anyways by now. I am 1500hrs in and max LR3 (minus timegated login weapons) and I've done every content and level range in the game. I will never say, I had a bad time with it, nor my time spent wasn't fun. I just look back a bit frustrated at all the possibilities they ditched and fumbled and craving more of the game, but realizing it's just over :D

As a newish player (started really getting into the game a few months before New War, made account idek how long ago) it still bugs when so many builds I see recommended almost require things that I simply cannot get at the moment to function. Arcane Energize for example, an arcane a player like me can only feasibly obtain during very infrequent events that let you just buy it, is recommended so much that as soon as I see it recommended for a build I already know I should keep looking for another build. The same goes with a lot of builds that rely on prime mods, because Myself and many players who might be looking up a build to get ideas for how to overcome a hurdle usually just don't have that mod. Obviously, its fine to showcase builds using these things, but when you're doing something with the purpose of helping less savvy players, I feel like it is best to showcase things assuming the people who need the build the most DON'T have access to that stuff. Show footage of the builds functioning with things that are more readily available to a majority of players, and add the rarer upgrades like Rare, Expensive Arcanes and Primed Mods afterward as a potential through-line to work for better overall performance. Please.

you don't *need* arcane energize for most of the builds its recommended on though, its just the most pleasant arcane to work with. There are plenty of other sources of energy in this game. Zenurik, Helminthed Nourish, grimoire mods, building extra efficiency, so on and so forth. If you look at minmaxed builds that use efficiency as a dump stat, you might start needing energize, but those builds are entirely unnecessary to beat all content in the game other than level cap.

My tip for new players is to follow, vaguely, the critical progression path. Set side objectives for yourself as you spread across the star chart, as you spot interesting frames and weapons, but try to do the quests eventually. Try all the different types of content, and get comfortable taking the initiative inviting your fellow tenno to party up for a while. Also, get a 1-1-1 amp reasonably fast. A lot of dramatic moments become less so when you have to jump and roll around doing squirt gun damage for way longer than the encounter is supposed to last.

imo for early players some of the first frames to invest I'd recommend some warframes like zephyr (easy to get, tenno lab), that can ahnialate steel path enemies with like 3 mods (check kiocifier's video on that, also got some good info there), has the zoomies, and is tanky. OR lootframes, like nekros, maybe getting khora from circuit or hydroid if they play solo. Because well, *crafting*

Well there isn't many options, growing powers you aren't recasting a lot, so why? Power donation but you need strength, corrosive projection, nourish and corrosive hysteria do the same thing and keep valkyr in hysteria, if there's any aura that valkyr can use better than just for free mod capacity I'd love to hear it. But valkyr just can't do as much as other melee frames, she can't shield gate properly, her armor doesn't help much with her relatively low health, and without rolling guard you can only use hysteria builds.

What i find utterly hilarious is that he's trying to make a list of "new player friendly, cheap builds", and then lists the cheese tank, locked behind a quest requiring transference, the most boring, ultimate cheese frame, who's prime is easier to get than the normal version, and one of the wosrt frames in the game, who's quest is also long and convuluted. As an inaros main, i can also say he didn't even properly recognise inaros' value to newer players: he's a comfort frame who will not run into any survivability issues until you start getting into more advanced content, aka when you are no longer a new player. Also you can later helminth on something and use rage to make him a caster if you really want. Or...if you're a new player, struggling with survivability, how about the first frame you will ever be able to grind for? With a survivability ability only slightly worse than mesmer skin? And a buffing ability that scales into lategame content and only loses out to eclipse because eclipse can get a really big number? No? Rhino isn't a new player friendly, low investment frame? You should toss him in the trash and spend hours grinding out a different frame instead? Ok mr content creator, you know best!

Ok, i think Shironature just shattered my self image. I'm not a middling tenno anymore, and I dont know when that stopped I gave up on plat farming cus the messages made me anxious.
