3 days! I didn’t ride on the second day because the inside on my half was bruised, the first day was around 3-5 hours of learning.

​@@BeeBaer Grabbed a sherman s as my first wheel. I can see now why people don't recommend it as your first! Doesn't help that I don't have a garage, anything to lean on, and only gravel road that is 99% slick ice right now! Hope I can stand properly once the ice thaws! 😅

Learn on the grass, your machine will thank you. A small tree can be palmed to steady and guide short stretches allowing you to practice mounting and starting much easier.

I learned by only keeping 1 foot on the unicycle and then hopping on the ground with the other foot while keeping the unicycle straight. longer and longer hops but never rushing to put your 2nd foot on the pedal. I was doing laps in the parking lot in about one hour. By the time I went home my legs were bruised and I ripped my toenail off underneath my shoe and my butt hurts.

What on earth were you doing? My first time learning (about 3 weeks ago) was just holding walls, practicing balancing, and improving turns and I have yet to crash or let my euc actually fall in any way. Ofc I was just content learning slowly and didn’t want to scratch up my new toy but still sounds like you had a rough time.

Great job learning. Some advise tho....take some time to ride a wheel without suspension. It will teach you how to handle abrupt changes in the surface your ridding on. With suspension you don't feel the subtle changes so when something big comes your more apt to crash. I know people in the comments can get obsessive over telling other people to wear the safety gear. Yes it is very important and some groups wont allow to ride with them without at least a helmet , but the truth is if your okay with the risk involved do as you please. I do go one short rides to the bank or corner store without gear but I way how busy it is out their with traffic and people. ride safe and have fun
