Started learning last night for an hour, then tonight for an hour. I will try your technique of doing hopping circles and hopping straight. Then try riding with one leg tomorrow night. I've been practicing only about an hour each night. I was able to learn the Onewheel in about 4-5 nights, it then clicked and I began to be comfortable with it, so I suspect my EUC might be the same learning process. BTW, I am 53 years old!

You calmed me man, today I got my wheel and its my first ever wheel - Inmotion V11Y, everyone says its the best wheel for the beginner. Though I spent like 3 hours practicing and still could do only 20-25 feet on it. Nothing "clicked" in my brain yet, but I am going to be there!!! Thanks for the lesson.

Don't worry, keep up that practice! You'll get there very soon! 20-25 feet is great progress!

I practice about 45 minutes a day and every new day I surprise myself that I get incrementally better. I've only been riding for about four months now and I'm already doing steep and technical rocky dirt trails with gnarly drop offs and stuff that is actually tough to do even on a mountain bike. Don't practice too much on any one day as from what I've heard and what I believe your brain needs to sleep on it. Then the next day watch how you get better. I also practice in the living room getting on and getting off and definitely work on your low-speed balance skills. The better you are at doing low speed turns and stops the better you will improve overall.

I did 30mins today. Inside. So just trying to go 6ft. Get used to keeping it up. Not that easy. Also bought wrong size knee and elbow pads. How are you doing now?

Good recommendations! One thing i dont see too many people mention, is to learn not put your foot down off the pedal until you've slowed to almost a complete stop. I really tweaked some tendons in my knee trying to stop my 96lb EX30 by putting my foot down to stop while moving. I didnt hurt myself too bad, but it was enough to limit the amount of time i could spend learning each day which was frustrating! I wanted to ride!

Its better to learn by getting a cheapey ride to not worry if it gets scratched and if its a slow one, its not so worrisome that it gets away from you.

Still the best learner video on EUC available. I always recommend this video to new riders! Good job, Rob 😀

I started on the master 3 days ago , this has helped a lot , I can already do sharp turns , I can mount on 1 leg but dismount on both (I’ve only ridden in house since I haven’t been able to get out yet 😭)

Hi ya. Many tutorials are needed. I can ride my master now ok but I cant mount the damn thing. Locked in pads make it even harder.
@WheelGoodTime

Practicing gliding forward with one leg as long as possible will assist in mounting. However that particular skill takes the longest time to master, even after you get your balance on an EUC while moving. I recommend trying that technique over and over again on smooth ground until it comes easily and naturally. 😊

Learn to mount without pads... then add pads as an additional skill. Learning to ride without pads is an invaluable skill that contributes to your padded riding proficiency.

I leave my wheel in the living room and I practice getting on and off 10 to 15 times a day. Step on, go forward and stop. Repeat. you'll be surprised at your progress if you do a little bit every day

Great video. I got my first ewheel and its the Begode extreme just like in your video. Yeah the wheel is heavy and diffcult to learn especially for someone with no experience. Your pointers are very helpful. Each time i get on, i learn a little more but still cannot ride without holding onto something....Guess practice pratice practice will help with that. There is also the physiological response that the body produces like shaky legs and nervousnous and a little trembling with fear. Guess time and more practice will help with this. Thank you for the informative video! !!

I've been riding for four months now and I have blown myself away at how technical some of the trails I am already doing. It is an absolute blast! Much funner than just hauling ass on the asphalt. Be careful with those speed wobbles at high speeds until you get your skill level up

I am intrigued by the EUC, but wary a bit at 60 years old. I rode a unicycle in my younger days and I'm certain that I still can. Any recommendations for an EUC for me with my usage to be some commute as well as off road riding. Ability to add a seat to the EUC would be an important factor as well! Thank you for any direction you can give me!

I would be happy to help you zero in on what you are looking for! 60 years old is totally normal for EUC Riders, I know a bunch of them personally. Since you already can ride a regular unicycle, I think learning how to ride an EUC will be shockingly easy. Learner EUCs are generally smaller and therefore are less conducive to seated riding. Also, Lerner Wheels are outgrown extremely quickly and people tend to get the need for speed after only a month or so. So for that reason, I suggest just finding the EUC that you want, and learning on that. What is your budget? Do you have a minimum range you would like to go with it on a single charge, and at a certain speed?

@WheelGoodTime $3000 top of price range. Probably 40 mile range tops! Not a speed demon, so I'm not too concerned about that.

I think an excellent option for you would be the newly released Leaperkim Patton S. The wheel has outstanding build quality, and even after you get skilled at riding, that wheel will still be fun to use, years down the road. Even better, it's within your budget too. 🙂 I recently started working with Next Gen Mobility and we have a great price on those right now. Feel free to send an email to us or phone call to chat about it more if you'd like! Here is a link to the Patton S. If you are interested: Https://www.nextgenmobility.org/products/patton-s

Been riding V10F. Just got V13. Picked it stood over it. Put leg on pedal in bedroom. Its so high and heavy. I feel like im starting from the beginning. If i stand over it. Its right up my ass. I dont go down at all to sit on it lol. What a pain to hold up with foot if it leans

I just tried first time for 30mins. Going 6ft to window isn't that easy. Doesn't like to stay up right. Guy online said I need to go outside to go faster for it to stay up easier

I don’t think that Master is good choice as wheel to learning. It needs a lot of effort and skills to ride. I wouldn’t ride an euc if Master was my first wheel.

Very good tips, I’m in the learning phase and these tips are really helping… I just had my first hour and yes it needs patience, and it looks easier than it is. It’s a challenge but I’m sure in 4-5 more hours of practicing I’ll advance a lot. Many thanks ! 🎩🫡💪🏼
