I did let my 2 sons figure out their lives. One went into ministry for 5 years then past away at 26 and my other son became homeless and on drugs and always getting locked up and said to me he will change his ways but then passed away also and he was 26 as well. I thought I did the tough love, but it slapped me in the face.

This is a very immoral story. No matter how much people try to make excuses for and praise the prodigal son, I've always admired the loyal son as the hero. I think the father was horrible for giving the useless son the fattened calf when he didn't even give the loyal son a goat to party with his friends. And theologians try every which to excuse the progidal, it just looks ridiculous.
