How do u heal when ur own prayers are never answered I can't ask for anything else having Jesus Christ and Moses as a close personal holy family member? Dang how much forgiveness in poverty and isolation and bed ridden do I need myself? I struggle greatly with 2:56 “Everything I have is yours” The fattened calf was not his. He was never celebrated. And it cannot be the case that neither the fattened calf nor the celebration matter or he wouldn’t have bothered mentioning them. So the question I’m left with is: why not be the son who leaves rather than be the son who stays?

If everything was his, then the fattened calf was his too. He was calling the older son into deeper relationship with himself, but the older son never joined in that way.
