I was actually thinking something similar. Quality comment. Like everything is put together for one specific moment. You got the feeling they could never disappoint, like every show was LITERALLY distinctive from the last, that Liam, Max, Keith and Leroy had to vary it to keep the momentum going, their fire in their bellies and could feed off the crowds. They go on about big attended shows like Robbie Williams in Knebworth or wherever...bollocks!!! The Prodigy could have played the entire population of both Essex and Hertfordshire, filled both counties and frankly, brought the entire area North of London to a standstill. Easily one of the top bands I've ever seen in my life and I've seen both Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath the year after I saw Prodigy at V97.......

I think they came in at the perfect moment. It was perfect. The 90’s generation, boomers, x gen, we all appreciated music. Different styles, genres, eras, etc. as a teenager in the mid 90’s, we listened to everything. Anything/. As long as it was good. And there was so much good music to delve into. Oldies, pop, country, hip hop (and omg, what a decade for hip hop) grunge, metal, jazz, there was just so much good music everywhere. It’s disheartening that most current edm fans don’t appreciate what the prodigy did for the genre.

Not a single phone in sight. People just living themselves in to the music enjoying life. I remember you could hug the person next to you just because you let yourself go totally. I really miss that period in my life. As a youngster of the 90s I know I got to live in the best era ever. Kids from now on will never have the feeling of just letting yourself go totally. Phones and social media have ruined it all.

The last 10 minutes of this gig are cemented into my memory. When Maxim asked for some dancers on the stage the security were totally unprepared for the max exodus that soon followed over the barrier, overwhelming them so quickly. It's hard to see on the video but there was about a 3 / 4 minute period when there were easily 100 people running around on the other side of the barrier and quite a few on stage. Personally I climbed the 12 foot fence that came off the front barrier and sat watching absolute madness unfold. They played again 2 days later in the dance tent, and it was a bit dull compared. Security weren't going to be caught out twice!

I'm from Louisville Kentucky and there's a place called ear ecstasy and better days and both of those names of those shops really defined with the 90s were. I remember getting the fire starter single too and also the brief single just to get those extra couple songs that were either remixed or having a bonus song. I think Molotov cocktail was one of the singles that were on there but anyway you just put me in a nostalgic land and I'm sad because I have to come back to 2021.

Without a care in the world, without worry of onlookers, social media, facebook, instagram, cyber bullying, politics, just in the moment like that crowd were for that hour! Having lived and raved through 92-2008 I’m so happy to have experienced it, I don’t think humans will ever see a time like that again, probably the best time to have to experienced electronic music to date!
