About The Profit:
When Marcus Lemonis isn’t running his multi-billion dollar company, Camping World, he goes on the hunt for struggling businesses that are desperate for cash and ripe for a deal. In each one-hour episode of The Profit, Lemonis makes an offer that’s impossible to refuse; his cash for a piece of the business and a percentage of the profits. And once inside these companies, he’ll do almost anything to save the business and make himself a profit; even if it means firing the president, promoting the secretary or doing the work himself.

There's a common pattern with failing businesses owners. 1) The business owners are completely unaware of their own business numbers 2) The business owners are ignorant, live in a bubble and fail to adapt. 3) The business owners make decisions based off emotion, biasness and arrogance instead of logic, facts and the market their in, 4) The business owners lack decent communication skills.

Marcus dodged a bullet. They may have ripped him off $200k but the two owners are currently looking at 20 years in jail each for fraud. If Marcus was a co-owner then he may have faced the slammer too. Phillip.

Marcus is Savage, he evaluated the business at 2M and he acquired 50%. They could hire a business consultant for way less and 0 stock option and they will reach same results. NY full of them

Yes. This must be from Season 1. Season 8 had eight episodes which aired in early 2021. CNBC just reran all these eight episodes in this month, December. This is such a great show and Marcus is a fantastic business man. Plus he went to college in my home town.

The two owners never gave Marcus the rights to Brooklyn Burger. This was a good episode because it was a real business not some little one man operation with 2 employees that we see in later episodes.
