I'm sorry, but this story makes this child to be a min of 13. But this is written as if the child is 4 at max. Good storyline but unbelievable. Radio works after decades. Decades = min of 20yrs. Timeline is everywhere. Childs behave at most like a 4-year-old but is physical as a teen not raised in an apartment. Sorry, my daughter, who is 7, already knows and has more sense than the teen/child/baby. And we are a liberal family.

The premise if this story is good, but i can't help feel like there's something odd about the young protagonist serving as the pov, while the narrative uses descriptors the protag couldn't have. "Ran faster than he ever had before" but how much running would a child confined to a single apartment have done? How did he navigate the stairs if he's never been outside? When would he have had the experience of cotton balls stick in his ears? For me, the story would be more impactful if it was written as though from the perspective of a child who has never seen the world beyond his apartment. Good story nonetheless
