I’d love to know how it stacks up next to the spectral. I know the spectral has almost a Enduro geometry. I have the 125 and even as a short travel trail bike it’s super confident downhill. It is a little heavier of a bike though interested to see how they face had head, uphill and downhill.

Propain launched the U.S site last month at Sea Otter, if I remember correctly. They just have limited offerings at the moment.

Hi! Any another bike around 130 50 climb 50 descend with the better dh posibilities and lighter than the propane? (I think its around 13.7kg, im looking something more next to 13 or under) Transition Spur will be ok in the trails of this video? I live in a rocky area and not sure of its capable like the propane, Tallboy or Revel Rascal for example. (Yeti 130 i think its even heavier than this) Thanks!

How does it compare to the yt izzo that you also reviewed recently?
@thomasmaatz1707 Жыл бұрын
And how tall are you? I’m 1,88 thinking about getting L or XL…
@TheLoamWolf Жыл бұрын
Hugene is a slightly more capable bike but not quite as “sharp” as the Izzo. I’d take the Hugene for slightly more aggressive duties and the Izzo as a full on rocket ship. I’m 189cm and tested both in XL. Would have happily ridden the larges too for a more agile ride.

To me, "ample space for a big water bottle" means it can easily fit a 30oz, but you have what appears to be a 15oz. Can it even fit a 25oz?

i've heard that the bike is quite noisy. How was your feeling about it?
@jonundercover3 жыл бұрын
I have this bike and it’s very quiet! Don’t take any notice of the Enduromag review. It’s a fantastic bike , I don’t want a heavy plush enduro bike so this was the perfect solution. Nice video 👍
@andersjohnsrud20093 жыл бұрын
I got my Hugene in july, it runs really quiet in my opinion. Just use a cable tie around the rubber grommets so they dont slide.
@TheLoamWolf3 жыл бұрын
It isn't an ultra quiet bike - the frame is quite hollow and any rattling cables, chainslap outwith the intended parts on the protector and debris hitting the downtube did make some noise. Mostly things that can be improved by some attention paid with a zip tie or some foam here and there, as Anders mentioned!
@taranclammer48863 жыл бұрын
The hub is very quiet compared to other bikes I have tried, and the cables don't slap around much, but when something does cause the frame to reverberate it makes a fairly loud metallic clanging noise, which was disconcerting at first.

@TheLoamWolf3 жыл бұрын
@@medivoadmin it will all depend on your most frequently ridden trails and your preference for stability or control/agility, but it sounds like a reasonable idea for sure.

Propaim has rather long chainstays, wonder how agile they really are?
@Coerced3 жыл бұрын
I'm starting to lose my frame of reference with so many long travel bikes with massive wheelbases and slack HTA being called playful, nimble and agile. And some short (travel) and small wheeled bikes being called stable and composed. Can we have some objective competitive comparisons between different style bikes? For example: which bike you can bunnyhop highest on, crush a rockgarden fastest on, make it through a tight slalom section fastest on, manages to get furthest on a slight uphill rhythm section without a chain installed, which is the highest drop/huck you're willing to take per bike etc? All things you can actually measure. Take bikes out of different categories or, if you wanna go radical, make this a standard part of every bike review. I'm lost.

Thanks for the suggestion and you have some great points! We will bring some of these topics up in more future reviews.
