The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ told us to dye our hair to go against the kuffar, So should we dye it red?

If I understood correctly from Sheikh, if Prophet ﷺ did not dye his white hair, does it mean it’s preferable not to dye? Sheikh himself has not dyed his hair? Can you please clarify? جَزَاكُمُ اللهُ خَيْرًا كَثِيْرًا

It is preferable to dye the hair. just because the prophet ﷺ did not dye his hair in some occasions does not make it sunnah not to dye. for example the prophet ﷺ recommended us to pray 4 rakats before Asr. but he himself ﷺ rarely prayed it. he ﷺ sometimes do this not to overburden us and show us that these things are not mandatory but recommended.

Iirc you can’t dye your hair black if it is greying.

@@wZaidhan it should be the other way round, ie Prophet ﷺ himself doing it and not prescribing for others if the objective was to not overburden. Eg Witr was mandated for Prophet ﷺ but not for ordinary Muslims, it remains Sunnah. As for the 4 rakah before Duhr, Prophet used to pray it (not only recommending) in fact he missed it once and prayed after Asr. Wallahu Alam

@@Saa42808 Well the sheikh in one of his older videos said it's permissible to dye your hair in any natural hair colour except black. So you can dye with red or blonde or whatever other natural hair colours exist.

Jabir ibn `Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Abu Quhafah was brought on the day of the conquest of Makkah, and his head and beard were white like "thaghamah" (a plant whose flowers and fruit are white). The Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him) said: "Change this with something, but avoid black." (Narrated by Muslim, 3962)
