Sadly, while it is a nice sentiment, it is not possible or factual. The same could be said about any religion, or many ideologies in general. The problem with Islam is that it is not peaceful, especially towards their fellow Muslims. Just look at all the wars, fighting, and simple hatred between different Islamic groups that has existed for over 1000 years. Not even taking into account terrorists, the Muslim religion has failed in every aspect in regards to peace. Christianity in the past failed as well, but it reformed and, outside of a few crazy people, it has been peaceful. Same with most other major religions. Islam still has a long, long way to go.

yeah i would like to point out that his final revelation (commonly known) instructs warfare against non muslims and killing them. and in the sira, it is claimed that at the end of muhammads life on his death bed he ordered the removal of all non muslims from arabia. abu bakr killed the apostates (lots of arabs gave up on islam after muhammad died) and then umar (omar) went on a rampage and killed non muslims in vast swaths of territory. it continured but grats omar, you took the cake. with the least soldiers you grabbed most land in short time (without military technology that is modern). abu bakr al baghdadi captured more as modern caliph but he had tanks, rockets, rpgs, guns.

I was responding to Allmywhat's claim that "christian love is when you kill gays for being unholy" with doubt that such events had ever occurred. I doubt that any christian has ever killed a gay person out of what they thought to be christian love. this is not to say no christian has ever killed a gay person based on the fact that they were gay, but rather that if it has ever happened it was out of a feeling of hatred than one of love. we can talk all day about how hatred has been spawned based on various religions including distortions of christianity, but what i don't think we can rightfully say is that those people did the horrible things they did out of what they would call love, else if they did, that they were not sane.

Can everyone list all of the texts that the major religions base themselves from? such as Christianity has the bible with its many gospels, are there more texts to read to understand this and gain a full understanding of it? And the same thing applies to Islam, the quran is the central text, and now I see things like the Hadiths and Sunnah. Are there any more? I would just like some clarification

For Islam hadith books are... weird because they were compiled way after Muhammad died and a lot of thee hadith were fabricated. The sunnah isn't an actual text, it's just he example of Muhammad. Other good books of Islamic tradition (across all sects) would be: Sahih-alBukahri Nahj-ul-Balagha (please read this, an amazing compilation of everything by Ali ibn Abi Talib, a central figure in Islam and objectively better than the Quran and hadith books imo) The Peshawar Nights Sahifa Sajjadiya Shaih Muslim Al-Muwatta Sirat Rasul Ullah (Ibn Ishaq) Hujjat ul-Balagha Me and Rumi by Shams Tabrizi Kafi and any of Rumi's poetry These are main Islamic texts that are essential to Islamic studies. BTW I'm basically done with a lot of Islam. I'm mainly an Islamic reformer, because this little shitshow needs reform. However, Islam has a lot to work off of already. So my hopes are up for the future. Those are good reads.

There is authentic Hadith book as well compiled by a pious person imam bukhari. It is 100% authentic by scientific standards as well. It’s called Sahi Bukhari. U can refer to Quran, authentic Hadith book like Sahi bukhari and biography of prophet to get an idea about what actually is the message of Islam is. If you want know it deeply then U have to refer some shaikh especially from Saudi arabia like shaikh Assim al hakeem, etc . U can find them on KZbin. After conquest of Mecca, he made His Enemies the Leaders of Mecca, Moreover, even if you take that Arguement, the Quran answers for that. 60:8 God prohibits you not from those who fight not against you because of your way of life nor drive you out of your abodes so be good and act justly towards them. Truly, God loves the ones who act justly.

It then says to be good and act justly toward them. What is good? What is justly? In the context of this very sentence it seems to be saying that you can take from the nonbeliever if it is 'just' I suppose if it is just to the spreading of Islam. Muhammad was a murder and a dozen other horrible things. He was genocidal and instituted a religious/political system that has lead to the death of hundreds of millions. Of course, he says he did this in the name of God. But I judge a man by his fruits, and Muhammads fruits are rotten.

The prophet showed us how to live our lives correctly. There are those who follow and there are those who don't. The ones that don't follow are influenced by the ones who don't believe in their religion be it Islam or any other religion. They are tricked, they believe that they are doing the right thing but they get blinded by their own radical thoughts and beliefs and by those that tell them they are right and use them to kill themselves and others. That does not justify the killing that happened and the many innocent lives that has been taken. This must end. The real Muslims are now and have always been fighting those radicals with their radical thoughts. Fighting them by words and by war. Our prophet warned us that there will be time where Muslims will fight and told us that there will be 73 paths in Islam in the future and and all of them will get to hell except one the ones who follow my sunnah. Our prophet is the prophet of peace but he will never let those who are currupt live peacefully. He will teach them if not then punish them if not then exile them if not then he will kill them if they kill or rape or currupt further. The goal is to spread Islam and spread his message peacefully for the benifit of the people to unite the world and end war then rule with justice.
