Today I continue my journey south from Koh Samui to highlight the pros and cons of many towns that ex-pats like to call home. Krabi is an up-and-coming town for ex-pats and in today’s video, I will show you the cost of renting a property in Krabi. Just moved to Thailand long term. Saw some great houses so went to view them two days ago. Turns out they were not what they were described as. One I walked into was under construction after previous owner obviously trashed it. The pictures aren’t always what they look like and could be from a few years ago. Don’t jump in and take your time is my advice.

Sometimes build your dream home, it comes out cheaper than renting it. Materials and labors are cheap in Thailand. A 3 beds 3 bth a swimming pool with 1 rai would only cost you less than $60k.

You stated in a previous video that you were going to turn the music down.. It 's really to hear what you are saying above the music and your mic seems to muffle your voice., Be careful when recording in echo chambers. Invest in a better mic. Just turn the music off. Cheers

Thanks, Ged. I always find your vlogs about rental property informative and interesting. Some of those properties were quite nice. I particularly like the one for 20,000 baht, though it is a little outside my price range. I also get the impression that Krabi is a bit boring apart from the beaches. So far Hua Hin is my favorite. Yes it's more expensive now that covid is over and businesses are starting to get back to a little normality. Also it's the high season and when tourists arrive prices usual go up. Add to this the rising worldwide recession and unfortunately prices go up.
